Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The view of the waterfall is breathtaking. Just a few minutes of contact with nature will lower stress level...

Many people prefer to go to Parque da Cascata do Caracol, but this one is far more interesting. Although infrastructure is very poor, the access is through a narrow dirt road, but the beauty of the place certainly worth a visit. There are two tracks leading to different views to the valley, the longest one is more difficult, pick up the easiest one and you won´t regreat.

Mesmerizing View!
You feel you are at nature’s best. The views are breathtaking. Best time to be here is early in the morning when the park opens. As the day progresses the Sun moves behind the valley, which doesn’t provide the best viewing experience. There are plenty of viewing points in the park with considerable amount of climbing up and down. There is also a small restaurant. The “Pinhao” trees are very unique to this area. You can also see many vendors selling the boiled Pinhao seeds.

Great tracks and scenery. Sadly the road to get there is absolutely awful, and it's been for decades.

Beautiful place in the middle of the nature. The trails are near and for all ages, but a lot of steps and rocks. Very beautiful views!!!

Even though it has a huge outdoors turism potential, this place remains offering a poor infrastructure. The trail that goes into the valley down to the river is quite nice and offers the trekkers a peacefull moment and somewhat scenic views. In ancient times it would be allowed to camp inside this park, which would be great to reconsider. There are some climbing routes in the clifs from the viewpoints. The sunset in open weather days is remarkable. I would recomend 4 hours to visit.

A few miles down a gravel road, with a 5 reale admission price, this is a nice park with some pretty walks that involve changes in elevation, so are mostly for those in decent shape. There's a small restaurant in the park, and we took advantage of the picnic tables to have sandwiches we bought in Canela. There are some nice views of the old mountains and forests, including a waterfall off in the distance, but we could not locate any trails that actually made it to the waterfall. There is such a trail, but we were told it was one hour down and two hours back up, so we did not attempt it with small children in the group. We are told all the rivers are seriously polluted with sewage, or it might be worth a hike for a swim at the bottom of the falls. Check that out before you go out of your way to visit; I doubt many Americans take the time to see this park.

There is no access to the park by public transport and it is few kms away from Canela.
The views in the park are amazing. There are several tracks you can take ranging from 20 min walk to 4hrs tramp. I truly enjoyed it and recommend visiting if you are already in Canela.

Boa sorte!
