Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beautiful church and surrounding grounds were absolutely breathtaking and lived up to the hype. We took a little adventure to find this place and I’m so glad we did. There was even a wedding starting when we were leaving. I recommend highly. Totally worth the drive.

We were driving around Ireland in 2012 and while hanging with the locals at a pub one night a gentleman told us to go see this church. We never heard of it but we decided to go check it out. Driving through the countryside on narrow windy roads, passing farms, animals, beautiful stone walls pretty much felt like what experiencing Ireland should be all about. We reached the church and it breathtaking. The surrounding views around this old church were magnificent. It was November & there absolutely nobody else there except us. Was a little cold and misty but that added to the mystique of it. Very cool history. A hidden gem. I appreciate that gentleman that told us to go. Mingling with the locals is a cool way to explore any place that you want to learn about. Highly recommended.

Definitely a fairy tale feel to the place. Morning time when the mist is rising over the lake or evening when it is coming time is like something out of a painting. A very special place.

No matter how many times we see this church, we marvel at it every time. Nestled in the lake, it is a wonder.

This was a ‘must visit’ location on our Great Irish Road Trip. A friend had married here in 2019. Easy to see why. Beautiful. Peaceful. Enriching. My first time there. Witnessed low-level rainbows, almost close enough to touch. Happened on morning Mass - social distancing no problem with only 9 other souls there, including the priest. Having celebrated Mass, he proceeded to row out on the lake afterwards. Truly living the gospel.

Beautiful church with a stunning backdrop. Definitely worth a visit. There is a hotel in the area, lots of picnic benches and very clean public toilets.

We saw this Church so many times we thought when we saw it in reality it would come as no surprise to us, but it did. The peacefulness & calm was lovely. The Church was a beautiful place to sit and contemplate. We took pictures that we had seen so many times before but it really does make a difference when you are behind the lens.
