This church is simply stunning. From the approach, this little church is idyllic. However, step inside and the peace and serenity is a tonic for the soul. A must see.

The church and the grounds are very well preserved. I enjoyed seeing the monks dwellings. I know it is a wonderful place for a wedding.

The Gougane Barra Church and ruins are in a beautiful setting. We ate lunch at the restaurant across from the church and then walked over to roam around the hermitage ruins and into the beautiful church.

Such a romantic and amazing place. Beautiful scenery. There is a lovely cafe in the hotel nearby if you get cold standing outside taking pictures.
