Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We parked, walked over to a wonderful old steam train that is immaculatley kept, but that is it I'm affraid. Nice if you are passing but don't go out of your way.

To be fair... this is LITERALLY just an old locomotive on display outside of the local train station. You could take a photo with it... you could use it as a meeting point (though Gotemba is hardly a busy enough place to warrant needing an organized meeting point)... you could admire it while you wait for the next bus out of the city... but that's pretty much it. A nice addition to the town's station, but hardly a reason to make the trip out to Gotemba by itself...

A short visit on the way to the Shopping Mall. There is an old locomotive, and a few places for picture taking.
