The beach has many snails and oysters. It us fun to pickup the shells of snails and oysters. Eating seafood and drinking Coconut juice is very refreshing to me. The water is not clear as compare to other beach near Dawei. But the beach is...More
Very quiet during the week, but explodes on a Sunday as the beach is for the Dawei locals to come and picnic and play in the water fully clothed...Great place for a sunset seafood meal or drink. Yes sometimes can look a bit messy but...More
This beach is only about 30 minutes from Dawei city, and is accessible by bike/car/bus.
But being the easiest beach to access means that there are a lot of people, both local and tourists (compared to other beaches on the peninsula).
It not very clean....More
Very different from the deserted Nabule and Grandfather beaches but a pleasure not to be missed. This is a busy beach frequented by Myanmar people with a waterfront of restaurants and stalls selling food, drinks, clothes, and renting out inner tubes for swimming.
We have eaten the best barbecued fish at Maungmagan Beach. The Seafood is also delicious. Try Aung San Restaurant. When the tide is out the beach is a great place for a bike ride. There are bikes to rent at the beach.
Compared to the other beaches on the peninsula this is less beautiful.
Access is easier that's why more visited, mostly by locals.
It's also massive but more dirty.
A lot of restaurants & places to drink.
Sunset here was superb!
