It is good to spend evening time in summer season in Sittwe. You can see many people around the pagoda praying and meditating. There are s couples good and clean restaurants where you can have tradition Myanmar meals.

This pagoda has quite a cool and unusual vibe and is not like other pagodas, the inside has a really cool roof and patterning. Worth a trip on the way to the airport.

This is easily the biggest pagoda, called paya in Myanmar, and worth a visit. It's reminiscent of Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, but obviously much smaller. It's in an interesting part of town, there's an old mosque across the street that you can wander through. The...More
