Not the most beautiful fountain but so original: the facade is for humans to drink from, on the left, the same fountain is for horses and on the right side, it is to wash clothes.

It is a nice fontain where the people use (d) to get their water. It looks old and ofcource because we go back to the 18th century. This small village is very cozy included their inhabitents. Tiradentes is very rich of history and so many...More

Unfortunately this place has been left to ruins. There is no indication who built the fountain. It is not worth paying a visit.

Nice stop to see one of the oldest fountains in Minas. It still contains some religious images which makes it unique. Locals have superstition about drinking from each one of the three spouts. There's a short hike behind the fountain that leads to the water...More

Wonderful atmosphere! Is a film scenary. Pays off to Go with horse carriage. You will feel in the 1700s.

This is the first fountain I've seen in my life where it combines three purposes: drinking for humans, for horses and to wash laundry. It is purposefully set up with three different environments. When we visited it was full of water and perfectly functioning. Relatively...More

Virtually abandoned. There is no water in the pipes. Access is impossible for the car. Impossivel for handicapped who is using crutches or wheelchair. There is an open sewer where once was a stream.

The fountain is nice but what is still nicer is the walk that starts from it and goes up to the source. There are monkeys frolicking above the walkers' heads. It is fun.

You shouldn't go to Tiradentes only to see this fountain, but if you are in town, I would recommend to take a look. It is worthy a couple of pics and some thoughts about life in the past. The walk to the place is interesting...More
