Wonderful historic city.
Many museums including the Museu da Liturgia that is a jewel .
One of the best options to know the origins of the Brazilian Culture.
Food is excellent and the restaurants are the best in Brazil.
International quality hotels.
Unforgettable visit!!!!

Tiradentes is another city on the Minas gold trail. However, it is more than that. It truly is a colonial gem with lovely cobblestone streets, quaint brightly coloured houses with well preserved churches and buildings. Although it is a small city with a vast majority of the major attractions all within walking distance. Allow a half to full day to truly explore this exquisite city. There are many craft and specialty shops to explore. Also has many lovely restaurants to dine in which are concentrated around and near to the central square. For a unique experience take a horse drawn tour around town. Is better if you have a guide to fully appreciate the historical significance of the various churches and other attractions that Tiradentes has to offer. Certainly my favourite city in Minas and one not to miss.

Another part of Brazil's historical and colonial puzzle, a must see for those who want to understand the country. Well preserved historical centre, feels like Paraty without the sea. Bohemian. Beautiful surroundings. Worth one or two days.

If you've never been to Tiradentes, rush! You are missing one of the most beautiful Brazilian colonial towns! Surrounded by the mountains of Minas Gerais State, right on the old gold trails, you'll find Tiradentes. The city was probably found in 1702 by the brave "bandeirantes" (first explorers of Brazilian hinterlands), coming from São Paulo and prospecting gold and other minerals. As gold was found on the hillsides of magnificent "Serra São José", the first settlements started and Tiradentes (then known as "Vila de São José") became one of most important gold mining areas in the whole State do Minas Gerais in the 18th century! Spare at least two full days to explore Tiradentes, its cobblestone streets, the colonial buildings, the awesome museums, the sacred churches and its many restaurants and cafés! Eating in Tiradentes may be an unforgettable experience! One last and important remark: Tiradentes has been appointed a Brazilian National Heritage Monument! One more reason to do not miss this historical town! Enjoy!

Tiradentes is full of color, light and artists. The sunny neighbor to darker Ouro Preto (appropriately, Black Gold) , which seems weighed down by its history of slavery, mining and revolt. Tiradentes shares this history, but is a more cheerful city, and more walkable. Ouro Preto’s extremely steep, narrow, and slippery streets are difficult, whether on foot or driving.

Similar architecture of Paraty and Ouro Preto, however the city is "being hugged" by Serra de São José (São José Hill), what makes it landscape unique. The best places (meaning renovated ones) in the Historic Center of Tiradentes are on Rua Direita and Rua da Cadeia and the ones close nearby - you find some of the best restaurants and local shops.

The historic center is paved with old historic stones, very irregular. You must visit it by walking, be prepared for a difficult walking

Tiradentes is worth at least a day of your time while touring. Visit Igreja Matriz de Santo Antonio and wander the historic streets and shops. With a few minor changes to the streets leading away from the church, you could be walking in this 17th century city.

They say not to visit during the weekend because it is too busy. Well, on a Tuesday under the rain, there is absolutely nobody! You have this beautiful village to yourself. Try to go to the office of tourism to get when churches are open/closed or you will miss some.

Traveling in Minas Gerais historic towns can get you confused, after the third encounter. Was this here or have I seen it before? Churches and churches, colonial atmosphere and style of architecture can get you cross-eyed. Our grate luck in Tiradentes was that we arrived with the yearly film festival, late January, and all the stars and people gave a tremendous life to Tiradentes historic district. We enjoyed it a lot. If you are coming, plan ahead because hotels will be hard to find, and reserve your restaurant! Lots of fun!

Existe 1 restaurante chamado pet friendly ou essa é uma denominação para restaurantes,e mesmo hotéis que aceitam e tem uma infraestrutura para pets? Melhor checar. Se existir esse restaurante, que eu desconheço, dá uma pesquisada no Google.

Os valores continuam os mesmos, a diferenciação é pelo percurso e tamanho da charrete; vale muito a pena, já que possibilita que você visite a maioria dos pontos turísticos e possa planejar uma visita mais demorada aos de sua preferência.
