Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We did a one hour flight which takes in both stone country and wet country. Early morning meant smooth air and fortunately we had a clear day with no smoke from grass fires. Our pilot was well informed of the terrain and his commentary as we flew over was good. A 30 min flight costs $150 per person making the 1 hour flight for $250 great value

KakaduAir’s service is just amazing - from booking to changing flights to Jack the pilot flying us smoothly from Darwin to Cooinda it was all just the best. If you are wanting to avoid road travel and fly to Cooinda Lodge, I highly recommend these guys. 25 stars!!!!

Kakadu in a day tour, including lunch @ Cooinda Resort, and Yellow River Cruise.
A Truly spectacular and unforgettable experience. Expert commentary given, of local sights and landmarks, during the approx 45 minute flight to Kakadu, by our pilot/chauffeur/host. Upon arrival, lunch at Mimi's Cafe Cooinda, an oasis of beautiful food, and refreshments, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements, Yellow River Cruise was the pinnacle of my day, host and commentary by a local, very knowledgeable, park ranger/guide, who shared how harsh, yet fragile this resilient and truly stunning part of Australia can be.
An experience I highly recommend if you have a day to spare

Safe, fun, informative and super attentive.
While covid has brought changes to part of the itinerary, Kakadu air chose to honour our original booking flying just two of us and made it a wonderfully personalised experience for us.
This has turned out to be a journey to be remembered. Daryl our pilot is cool, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly professional but most importantly passionate about flying and sharing that experiences with us.
I would highly recommend to book a journey with Kakadu Air and experiences this if you have a day or two to spend in Darwin.
We will definitely be back again for the dry season, and next time probably try the flights from Jabiru.
Thank you guys. Keep up the good work and hope soon covid is behind us and more people get to enjoy this with you guys.

A fantastic organisation! We took the one hour flight over Kakadu during sunset. It was amazing! Our pilot, Russell, was brilliant and gave us an in-depth commentary on the magnificent scenery we were flying over. He was knowledgeable and entertaining, but most of all a safe and capable pilot, with our comfort and safety a top priority. We highly recommend this flight! Thank you Kakadu Air.

This is a review of the Katherine Day Tour. Thanks to our pilot/tour guide/driver/lunch waiter Matthew, we had a fabulous time. As he pointed out, this day was during the Wet Season; the landscape changes in the Dry Season so we will return and repeat this tour during the Dry Season.
Our tour was on Easter Monday and we happened to be the only passengers on the Tour for the day. Matthew was more than happy to fly over waterfalls once we entered Kakadu National Park and fly a figure 8 so we could take close up photos of various falls from both sides of the twin engine Cessna.
On the way to Kakadu, and knowing we'd taken the Kakadu Day Tour on Easter Saturday, he obligingly flew closer to the coastline so we could see the various river systems and particularly the Daly River. I spotted half a dozen salt water crocodiles in the Daly River, a few river bends away from the (in)famous Daly River road crossing. To our amazement, a 4WD vehicle was making its way across the crossing, despite the recent flooding and warnings of salt water crocs which can and will kill and eat anyone caught in the river.
Aside from flying over the Katherine Gorge, and taking the two hour cruise through it, we had chosen the optional 15 min helicopter ride above the Gorge too. At 1,000 feet altitude, the chopper flight is an excellent way of seeing the Gorge.
The entire Day Tour is fantastic, a real immersive adventure into this part of the Top End, thanks to Matthew and his above-and-beyond customer service and attention to detail.
Tips for other travellers: most of Darwin's other tourist attractions are shut on public holidays. If you're in Darwin on such a day, book your scenic flights with Kakadu Air Services as they operate every day except Christmas Day.
Last tip about parking: Kakadu Air advise you to park in the Long Term carpark at Darwin airport and walk over to their offices. This is super easy: there's a small footbridge from the car park and it's only a minute's walk to Kakadu Air - you can see their office from the car park.

We did this one hour flight from Jabiru as an optional add-on to our 3 day AAT-Kings trip from Darwin to Kakadu, and it was well worth the extra money. The scenery was very varied, and all spectacular. Who knew this was what Kakadu looked like? If you have the opportunity, do this it!

Going for a 1 hour scenic flight over Kakadu N.P. in a small aircraft was a spur of the moment decision. It's really the only way to get a feel for the size and grandeur of this awesome place. Josh, our pilot, skillfully flew the 8 seater GA8 Airvan, giving wonderful views of the National Park. He also provided informative commentary to complete the experience. I would recommend this as a "must do" Kakadu experience.

Great morning sightseeing flight departing from Cooinda near to the lodge. Spectacular views and a great commentary. Plane was great, however could have used a better aircon system - it did get up to mid 30's during the trip, and when combined with the wee bit of turbulence was why we needed 2 sick bags! At least we got a couple of souvenirs...

Ipm scenic flight was excellent departing from Jabiru. Gives you a great perspective
of the Kakadu National park. The whole thing was well organised and excellent communication.
The pilot was professional and knowledgeable. $150 for 30 minutes in the air was good value.
