Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Kakadu in a day tour, including lunch @ Cooinda Resort, and Yellow River Cruise.
A Truly spectacular and unforgettable experience. Expert commentary given, of local sights and landmarks, during the approx 45 minute flight to Kakadu, by our pilot/chauffeur/host. Upon arrival, lunch at Mimi's Cafe Cooinda, an oasis of beautiful food, and refreshments, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements, Yellow River Cruise was the pinnacle of my day, host and commentary by a local, very knowledgeable, park ranger/guide, who shared how harsh, yet fragile this resilient and truly stunning part of Australia can be.
An experience I highly recommend if you have a day to spare

KakaduAir’s service is just amazing - from booking to changing flights to Jack the pilot flying us smoothly from Darwin to Cooinda it was all just the best. If you are wanting to avoid road travel and fly to Cooinda Lodge, I highly recommend these guys. 25 stars!!!!

As a family of five, we recently did the Kakadu in a Day tour. WoW, what a fantastic day. Our pilot/guide Myles was wonderful and very professional. We felt very safe in his more than capable hands. The scenic flight out to the little airstrip at Cooinda was great, as Myles took us over some remarkable country, including Kakadu, Arnhem Land & Stone. After which, we took the Yellow Water Croc & Wildlife Cruise, had a lovely Barramundi lunch, then visited the Culturally sensitive Warradjan Cultural Centre., before returning to Darwin @ a higher altitude. All the staff were great & very professional. The booking process was seamless. Well done & thank you.

we splashed out on a one-hour helicopter charter and this was a highlight of our trip. Pilot Cameron (experienced in Army helis) was a great pilot and knew his stuff – stats, best spots, best views etc.
We flew from Jabiru airport, over the Mercure Croc Hotel, then North into “stone country” and the East Alligator River wetlands. My wife is a professional photographer and was delighted to take front seat of our R44, with doors off. It was an outstanding experience and we saw and came back with some awesome close-up pics of craggy weathered rock formations, flood plains and wetlands and numerous wild-life, up close and personal – a huge croc, feral pigs and buffaloes.
This was a flawless experience, through booking (by phone), reception, flight and return. The R44 was well cared for.
Well done, Cameron and KAS.

We went for the 60 min flight in the small plane and loved it.
Our pilot was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information about the area, local customs and dreamland stories.
Would recommend as seeing Kakadu from the air, including the waterfalls is truly magical

We did this one hour flight from Jabiru as an optional add-on to our 3 day AAT-Kings trip from Darwin to Kakadu, and it was well worth the extra money. The scenery was very varied, and all spectacular. Who knew this was what Kakadu looked like? If you have the opportunity, do this it!

Did the flight to Jabiru, cruise and lunch, then gallery and flight back to Darwin. Really outstanding day. Steve was an excellent pilot and guide, very helpful. Clearly a fastidious pilot, referring to checklists and keeping the engines balanced. The cruise was excellent, lots of wildlife. Pleasant lunch and return to Darwin exactly on time with one of the softest light plane landings ever. Strongly recommended.

We did a one hour flight which takes in both stone country and wet country. Early morning meant smooth air and fortunately we had a clear day with no smoke from grass fires. Our pilot was well informed of the terrain and his commentary as we flew over was good. A 30 min flight costs $150 per person making the 1 hour flight for $250 great value
