Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very well organised company giving a lot of care to the flights and opportunities for all flyers. The choice of flights up to 16500ft which is epic and albeit a little apprehensive once up there and jumping out of the plane is epic in every way, free fall for 70 sec then chute the rest. The hand cam was excellent and gave great shots and video worth the extra. Can highly recommend and would love to do it again.

Staff there made sure that safety is of the top priority and they are very friendly as well.

Would also point out to you the different sights as you fly over in the plane and they also make it a point to calm your nerves.

Extremely fun experience and would definitely go for a second jump!

Two pensioners (just) put their lives in the hands of 2 tandem skydivers, and enjoyed the most amazing experience.

Very professional and reassuring, we felt very safe in their hands, and what an incredible experience, free falling for 70 seconds over the most fabulous scenery.

Definitely a 5 star experience really makes you feel alive!!!

We booked this skydive 3 weeks in advance for our honeymoon trip to New Zealand from the UK. Our travel times and accommodation were booked around the activities we had booked. We received an email 48 hours before the planned flight to say that they would have to reschedule as they didn’t have a pilot available after 12 (we had booked 1pm). Very poor service cancelling with such short notice, I wouldn’t recommend.

On the 5th of January me and my friends went for a skydive. We were close not to do it as the girl in the reception was being pushy and rude which made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. She wanted our skydive to be efficient and not enjoyable by putting three of us in one plane and let the last of us go alone. We told her it wasn't a solution we could agree on and she didn't change it before one of her colleagues told her they could manage to do it our way (two and two together).
The girl in the reception was a blond girl with a tattoo on her thigh and is not the kind of a person you wanna meet before a skydive you pay a whole lot of money for!
Besides the rude staff it was an awesome experience!

My husband and I walked in off the street with an interest in doing a skydive and were delighted to be in the air within an hour undertaking our first skydive. We experienced professional service from start to finish and the staff put us at ease. I would thoroughly recommend this to first time and second hand skydivers. The views are amazing. We went from 16,500 feet and the free fall was totally terrifying but it is important to remember that the feel is exactly like falling to your death so this is not a surprise but it is bliss once the parachute is opened. :-) I would recommend taking up the offer of getting the experience filmed as it is an excellent memento to have.

I did this skydive on a Topdeck trip in July from 16500 ft and it was insane. Glad I did it, when the parashute opens you get an amazing view! It was winter as well so got to see the snow capped mountains. Definitely get the dvd and pics, expensive but worth it there amazing. My only tip would be maybe go in summer though, was quite cold and took a little of the enjoyment out of it. Thanks Abel Tasman crew!

My boyfriend & I both did our first skydive here in Feb whilst travelling around NZ and it was without a doubt one of our main highlights. We were obviously nervous and the entire team here made us feel comfortable (well as comfortable as you can feel dangling out of a plane at 16,500 feet!) James & Scruffy were fantastic! Although it is expensive buy the whole package our photos & dvd are just incredible!! Plus we have loved showing them off to our friends. We can't thank the team enough for such a fantastic experience! To all of you thinking about making the jump, this is the place to do it the scenery is just stunning - enjoy!

Thank you Hayley & Peter for not only coming to play with us here in paradise, but for taking the time to write a review. We are so fortunate to have such stunning scenery here at Skydive Abel Tasman which of course just adds the wow factor to an already amazing experience! We are truly pleased you love your DVD and freefall photos as we do take pride in getting the best shots and using HD quality so that you can relive your experience again and again and again. Remember when you are bored of watching and just want to jump out of a plane we will happily take you for a second time! :) Anyway thanks again guys for writing such a lovely review, we love sharing our passion with our customers and appreciate it when they write back and tell us how much they too enjoyed their experience. All the best with the rest of your travels and we hope we will see you in the sky again one day, from all the team here at SAT.

This was honestly the most awesome experience and a great highlight of our trip in NZ.
I was originally booked to skydive franz Josef but was rescheduled to Abel Tasman due to road closures and had weather and I was sooooo glad it was changed.
I had fantastic, perfect diving weather, stunning scenery and my pilot, Rafael was both really friendly, professional, fab sense of humour and jase he feel really safe.
Would 100% recommend

What a place for our first jump! Abel Tasman and Kahurangi national parks look stunning from any angle but from above, that's a different experience. The feeling of free falling is totally unforgetable, for someone not very confident with heights I was surprised how much fun it was. You get to see both north and south islands, spinn in the air and whizz around under the parachute, I can not recommend it enough. I might be hooked up, already looking at options for AFF training thanks to you guys. We had to wait a couple of days for the right weather but it was totally worth it!
