Yesterday we attendend the West Point Sunset Tour with mi Ride. Tim our tour guide is a very knowledgeable and fun person! He picked us up with his Mitsubishi Pajero as there were only the two of us yesterday evening... so we had a private tour which was amazing. He knows so much about the flora and fauna of this island and he explained everything we wanted to know. We drove through the mangroves and eucalyptus down to West Point. He than prepared a table for us, directly on the beach with a platter and complementary drinks - absolutely perfect with this nice view and the ambiance of the sun behind the clouds.
We highly recommend this tour if you are on Magnetic Island and you are interested in seeing a part of it that only a few people get to see.

We spent a very nice moment with the organizer of tour and other group members (We were only 6 in total). Explanations about the Island and the wildlife on the Island were quite interesting and instructive but given with a lot of good humour and fun. Sunset was really nice and champagne was quite good.

Tim took a group of 18 of us, family and friends on this trip of a lifetime. Tim is so passionate and knowledgeable about Magnetic Island, he has a fabulous sense of humour and is an all round lovely person. Our group just loved how he pulled up when he spotted a koala and it's baby so we could all get out of the bus and take photos. Such a thrill to see our wildlife in the wild instead of a nature park. This very special part of the island is difficult to access without a 4WD and Tim navigates the roads confidently. To top of the tour, we were treated to a magical sunset, first red and then gold. We walked the beautiful beach whilst Tim set up chairs for all of us. We were treated to a 5 star grazing platter and some lovely wines, champagne and beer to wash the gourmet delights down whilst we watched the sun retreat. This trip is a MUST DO when you visit Magnetic Island...and the silhouette photos Tim took, perfected, then sent to me for our group were unforgettable. Thanks so much Tim, this tour was rated the number one experience by our group for our week long stay on Magnetic Island.

Tim gave us a friendly, interesting and well informed tour leading us to see things we would not have noticed ourselves and hearing all about them. The relaxed sit down for well chosen refreshments was a pleasure.

Friendly, passionate,knowledgeable and very accommodating. Was so worth taking the tour with the commentary as we were learning the entire trip, not just a sunset view. The platter and drinks with immaculate presentation was amazing and topped off the trip. Thanks Tim.

Tim was a great guide and so passionate and informative about the ecosystem on Magnetic there were many spontaneous stops along the way to check out all kinds of fascinating plants, trees, insects and wildlife capped off with a tasty morning tea well done Tim.

Tim has a good sense of humour and is very knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and the island he lives on.
We had a great time and spotted a mum koala with her Bub, a hawk, wallaby, bat and a frog plus we enjoyed the most spectacular sunset.

Tim is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide who enjoys educating and showing visitors the quiet side of Magnetic Island. He pointed out a variety of trees, plants, animals and environments along the way as well as talking about the history and infrastructure of the island. For me the highlight was seeing a Blood Tree that leaked a lot of brilliant red sap.
