This is a lovely, multilayered park.Includes a dry ski slope, ponds a grotto, and a leisure centre with an excellent dog friendly cafe.Terrain is steep in places, but the views are worth it.Always clean and well maintained. Also good kids play area and skate area. The shell grotto is some times open to the public.

Very basic area with a few trees, apparently a Park. The parking is very poor and loads of teenagers hanging around making it unsuitable for a quiet family walk.

Lovely to walk around, nice ponds, museum (closed on our visit), bandstand, leafy walks etc. Advice to visitors - head for leisure centre carpark, and only mild criticism - dog fouling.

We adore Pontypool Park. There is always something new to discover in every corner of the park. My 7 year old son also loves visiting there to play his favourite game Pokemon Go. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

So many things to do and see. If you're a teacher, ask the Council to see the Shell Grotto with your class. Magical

Pontypool Park appeals to all ages whether a leisurely stroll or accessing the park area with young children. The area is well kept with a Shell grotto ( only open certain times } It also incorporates Pontypool museum which is worth visiting . The artificial ski slope is housed there also. Worth visiting .....

A real park, set in woodlands, lots to see and do. The shell grotto is closed most of the year but open around Easter time. Fantastic park.

Learnt to ski here on the dry slope before going to Bulgaria skiing. Helped out a lot. Great walks too, used to go swimming and to the play area when I was younger. Now when we go its to play football or have a stroll
