It's a good site to view birds through binoculars from the road. On entering the reserve, an ornithologist told us that the bird on the water was an Iceland gull, a first for us! We also saw 3 herons waiting motionlessly at the edge of...More

Scenic rspb site with a wide range of possible bird sightings. Easy to walk round and spot birdlife - even on a very blustery May morning we noted several egrets, herons, mallard, swifts and martins. Quite exposed when the weather turns (which it did!) and...More

So peaceful, and such a sight watching the birds go about their business. A good variety of birds to see with the marshes making a lovely backdrop. Well worth a visit

Arrived at dusk in the hope of seeing a murmuration of starlings over the marshes. Conditions were perfect: a beautifully calm evening with a perfect sunset over Newlyn. ~The starlings started to arrive in small flocks at about 5.30 pm and finally roosted at 5.50...More

A very quiet time of the year but the place is so peaceful and still plenty of wildlife to see. Well located with the beach on the other side of the road and close to marazion and St Michael's Mount.

Quite time of year but there is plenty to see. Good for walking and on the St Micheal's way. Would be a good spot to sit and relax while looking at the wildlife.

Don't know where Wheal Rodney holiday park is, but presume you can get to the coast easily from there? The walk along the coast into Penzance is lovely, especially with dogs - on the level, with splendid views. You could... More
