Staff made sure we were first off on our motorcycles once arriving in Kootenay Bay. Made for a spectacular ride down to Creston. Thanks!

The wait for the ferry is longer than the journey to the east shore. Great friendly travellers on board. The ocean was calm, nice breeze and some great views. The load service was fast and efficient. The best it is FREE.

The ferry is free. There are snack bars but bring cash as there are no ATMs nearby. View is beautiful!!!

They say this is the longest free ferry ride in the world. Its pretty good value and even has an on board cafe.

On our way to Crawford Bay for a day trip. This free ferry is a 35 min ride there. Make sure you check the seasonal schedule so you don't miss it. Ferry holds 80 vehicles.

That shouldn't be a problem. There was an 18 wheeler logging truck on with us.
