Huge ground, nicely located at the river, stunning architecture... I loved it, it was so nice to walk around the place, have a peek here and there... It's easy to imagine how people used to live, how tough it must have been. It's good they have made those little stores, bakery etc run by locals. Plus it's worth getting a... More

This occupies a large area and is centred around an interesting market square of a typical Polish village. It took about 2-3h to walk around, not all on the level. Many of the buildings were locked but you can go in if you manage to find the guide with the keys. Some of the people in the buildings were in... More

What you know is that this is a museum of buildings, very good one. Apart from just a buildings, you can see lots of other exhibitions such as museum of ikons - fabulous, but don't understand why you cannot take picture there, few small village churches or a manor house. Be aware while museum itself is open till late, most... More

What you usually get is a bunch of farms and service buildings, transferred to such an open air museum. But in Sanok they also show transferred churches: Roman Catholic, Greek-Catholic and Greek-orthodox, some with the Original interior. There is a museum on the spot with iconstases and icons: great presentation. A bit silly you are not allowed to take pictures... More

We live in Rzeszow so it took about an hour and a half to drive there, but clearly worth the trip. The season begins May 1, so there weren't too many visitors; no crowds. The buildings were locked. This place is a bit like the one in Kolbuczowa-but more expansive and worth the extra drive time. Do both, if you... More

For an opportunity to see traditional timber built Architecture of rural Poland and a re-creation of village life this is a very worthwhile visit.

I've visited this place in August 2014, but I'm quite sure nothing has changed there, even they probably added some new buildings so... Yes 5 is the best grade, and I'm totally reccomend this place for people who are in S-E Poland :) - to visit and learn something about history. One of this houses, is from village near place,...
