An amazing people the Tibetans who are so generous and willing to make your hike as memorable and incredible as possible. The park is something you will never see again and at the top of the world is thin on air but big on views!

Stunning views. It truly is awesome to be in this rarefied atmosphere. So grateful to have been to Mt. Qomolangma Nature Reserve where yaks abound on the rocky mountainside,. This trip is like nothing else, the views are spectacular.....prayer flags fluttering in the wind, brisk air.....a very humbling experience to be in the presence of Nature.... as never seen before... The whole reserve is a feast for the eyes, things are really quiet. Take your time driving through slowly :)

If you have Mt Everest on your list. I would not fly straight into lhasa as we saw so many people do and a lot of them got ill from altitude sickness. We had a bit more time at hand so we started with five days bike riding in the mountains in Vietnam from Sapa to Dien bien, then into... More

Qumolangma is the Tibetan name for Mount Everest and the whole reserve centres around the mountain range. Try and go early in the morning.

Driving through the nature reserve allows for some amazing photo ops. The mountains are amazing, especially on a clear day.

The only way to enter the reserve and make your way to EBC is either by foot or by the Environment Friendly bus provided by the park. The earlier you get there, the better the view as it starts getting cloudy as well as crowded by 9.00am.

The view you get will depend on the weather. We were very fortunate on this trip that we had perfect weather and were... More
