Tricky parking, small car park but we found a free car park before the main car park at the side of the road. Walked up the mountain and reached the lake, absolutely stunning. Dog had a paddle then we set off around the walk. Was...More

This is a great location for walking, the scenery is stunning and this walk is a nice gentle stroll. The only downside is parking but we were fortunate to get the last space in the nearest layby.

What an amazing place to visit, we wanted to do a family friendly hike while holidaying in Wales and we couldn't have picked a better spot. Easy path to walk for the kids all the way up to the lake and then you have a...More

We came here as we had booked a walk with Snowdonia Adventures up the south side of Tryfan. The walks here range form the extreme (north face of Tryfan) to the simple (lake walk around the base of Devils Kitchen). Some are within 5 minutes...More

We came here in the evening as the sun was moving behind the mountains. It wasn't challenging like the National Trust website says, and I'm pretty sure it didn't take us 3 hours to walk around the lake. The rocks are uneven though, so you...More

I think that the huge number of 'excellent' reviews say it all. The scenery is fantastic and there are clear routes to follow. In the summer the car park fills quickly and there can be a lot of people on the paths. There are toilets...More

This is one of my favourite places in the U.K. I should initially say it can get busy but that comes hand in hand with accessibility. There are easy mountain walks for those who prefer them all the way up to great scrambling and climbing...More

We had a lovely walk around the Cwm Idwal Nature reserve. It wasn’t challenging but I would recommend walking boots as the ground is quite uneven & hilly in places. There were lots of school trips. At least 3 parties, so it’s wasn’t a peaceful...More

Fantastic place to visit, feels like you are in the middle of the wilds but only a mile from the main car park. Gets busy on a nice day and parking is limited so try and get there early if you want to park easy...More

I would not advise that you try for Ideal. That doesn't stop you enjoying the wonderful views around Llyn Ogden which doesn't involve climbing and the views while driving to and from are fantastic. If you're looking for for... More
