The old shot tower and its gardens is a suitable setting for an enjoyable afternoon tea relaxing in the sunshine. We had Devonshire Cappuccino's with fresh baked scones, strawberry jam and whipped cream. The tiered gardens and abundant bird life made a picturesque back drop....More

The information on what a shot tower is for is very interesting and the view from the top in well worth the climb. It's testament to the convicts that build these stone structures and are still in such good condition. The Devonshire tea was delicious.

Spiral wooden staircase will take you to the top and the platforms along the way help those, like me, afraid of heights. The views from the top make it worth it. Very interesting and not too far from Hobart.

Stunning views from the windows and the top verandah of the Tower. Spiral staircase very old and feels it. History lesson and exercise class all rolled up in the one afternoon.
