When to Tangkuban last year July and it has a magnificent view of the volcano. The air is cool and the fee paid for entrance is worth. I like it so much. However, we are constantly been bugged by the local sellers once we get...More

Being to Bandung without seeing Tangkuban Perahu is like not getting to Bandung at all. We just realize that we are parked and standing right next to a Volcano's crater. Cool weather up there.

Ride a horse around the area, buy your souvenirs, boil your eggs with the natural boiling water and have a massage by the locals with the mud from tangkuban perahu itself. You can also buy a bottle of mud to bring home too!

It was a good experience to get closer to a crater for the first timer. Beside the nice scenery and cool weather, not so impressed by the artificial landscape and too many locals selling things. The entry fee is too high for foreigners.

Made comparison btw my last visit to Tangkuban Perahu in 1999 and the recent one in May 2015. Honestly, I didn't see many changes (except for the entrance fee), which is good. However, I felt the tranquility that the place could offer was lost. Tourist...More

Once arrived at the place, we were instantly approached by the local sellers and they forcefully asked us to buy their stuff which are selling at unreasonable prices. Then, a 'tour guide'' approached and start promoting himself. I was charged 400k rupiah for the 'tour''...More

Within over of two decades this place has metamorphosed from a "beautiful princess" into an "ugly duckling". Came here last weekend and I hardly impressed. As a default for any public recreational facility in indonesia you wont surprised with a scattered rubbish everywhere plus locals...More

Unfortunately, There's no hotel near Tangkuban Perahu. You can find a hotel in Bandung, because Tangkuban Perahu is not in central of Bandung city. as my experience. Thanks. Just for tips : Use private car to easy go here.

We hired a private driver and he drove us all the way to the top. Otherwise at the base, there are mini-vans that you can take. They will wait to gather 15 pax and then depart. I forgot how much they charge per person though.
