Our four day March cruise on Narrowboat May was a welcome holiday at the end of the winter and we enjoyed enough sunny spring weather to see the Wiltshire K&A canal and countryside in its best light. The boat was just as described – bedrooms fore and aft each with, effectively, ensuite facilities, a well appointed galley and all fixtures,... More

Booked via groupon voucher for 4 nights on Leah with Sally Narrowboats. Picked her up in Bradford on Avon, stayed the night before at Bear Inn. Thrilled with Leah even had a wood burning stove supplied with a big bag of coal. Having boated many times before we were surprised how many permanently moored boated lined the canal. Stayed the... Hired a long boat from Sally's Narrowboats. The boat was well presented and clean. The gentleman greeted us and briefed brilliantly. The only downside was by lunchtime we realised the heating wasn't working. We tried 5 different contact numbers and left messages on all but nobody phoned us till early evening. Then spoiling the evening waiting to have it fixed.... More

We spent a week in the slow lane from Eynsham to Lechlade, Oxford and return. Anglo Welsh were very helpful and informative and we soon became used to life abouard a narrow boat. The boat was well appointed and we had a great time visiting new area, new pubs and making new friends. A memory that will last a lifetime.... More

This was one of the best holidays I've ever had. The canal was wonderful with lots of peaceful stretches, amazing views, good pubs along the way, excellent mooring choices and many places to explore. We went to Bath and back in a week and enjoyed meeting many friendly couples and families along the way. We were complete beginners and Foxhangers... More

Heading towards Bristol, and looking forward to spending some time in Bradford Upon Avon and Bath, with such a choice of things to see and do. With so many great places to stop to eat and drink and we always enjoy meeting such lovely people who enjoy life on and around our waterways.

Rented a boat (The Tibetan Fox) from Foxhangers at Devizes, who were absolutely brilliant. Great boat, full sized oven and all manner of crockery and kitchenware. Lovely trip to Keynsham and back. Great pubs en route. peaceful, quiet, serene and full of wonderful scenery and animal life. The whole thing was marvellous, but perhaps a little spoiled by the attitude... More

We booked Sally Narrowboats as a special treat holiday with our teenagers to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Their charges are very reasonable compared to the other boat hire companies and their professionalism and service second to none. They are well organised and very friendly and helpful. The only comment I would make is that before we left the boatyard... More

We booked a weeks holiday with SALLY NARROWBOATS and would recommend to anyone. As our holiday drew nearer there was a few things that needed clarifying, when I called Sally Narrowboats nothing was too much trouble and the information they gave me was great. Our boat 'Kate' was fabulous with the added bonus of a slide open roof which was... More

Hired Moonlight from Moonboats and we're not disappointed the boat was beautiful and extremely well equipped throughout. Everywhere we went we drew admiring glances and were asked lots of questions about the boat with many pics being taken. Realiably informed by my husband and dad that she handled extremely well. You couldn't wish for anything else on board. The k&a... More
