Made a special trip as not been for some time and was looking for to teaching my 5 year old all about the beacons. disappointing that this is now just an arts and crafts centre with a pretty little tea room. the most impressive thing is the totem pole in the gardens by the toilets, beautiful and impressive. Very little... More

You have to pay £1 to park (£2.5 if you stay more than two hours) and the "visitor center" is just a small restaurant with a space to buy maps. The craft store upstair is nice.

The Brecons is a year round destination, why only have the information to hand Easter to October. Visted to get some information on routes but nothing to be had. Surely the winter is a vital time for an information centre to be manned, up to date forecasts, which routes are safe. There are still a lot of idiots out there... More

We visited yesterday to meet friends. It was a cloudy day , but in no way did this effect our visit. We had a delicious lunch where there is a varied menu , including snacks and cooked foods, all sourced locally. Following this we went on a shortage walk on this occasion, because of the weather , but still enjoyed... More

It's been a while since our last visit, but it never fails to please. Park up, take a nice long walk with spectacular views across the Beacons to Pen y Fan, then finish up with some comforting homemade food at the Visitors' Centre. The recipe for a perfect day. The food is always good, offering good flavours and value. It's... More

This is a basic but fantastic place to start your walk. A good visitor centre with local crafts as well as a simple restaurant serving fresh food Beacons Pie with veg and gravy is a hearty meal after a good walk Outstanding views of Pen y Fan and Cwm Du from the seating area of the restaurant outside Plenty of... The centre itself is rather basic, and lacking information and details of walks in the area. However we walked out to one of the view points and enjoyed it. Worth it for the parking and the central location to start from.

We went to the visitor centre on recommendation. It is set on an extensive common which was great for a walk. The cafe was good and the outer section has large windows which makes the most of the incredible view. The shop is full of quality, well priced items produced by local artists.
