Sorry to say this pub is now closed. The local village of Elston trying to buy it so we can have the community come together again. It was a really good pub with Pizza Fridays and Sunday lunch and other meals served.

The Chequers has been shut as the landlord wants to convert it into a private dwelling, sadly this leaves this charming village publess, at least for now

Abi and David run this most excellent pub. They brew their own beers and cider and offer more familiar beverages too. :) There are frequent speciality evenings, with fabulous home cooked treats. Children and doggies are welcome and the place is often full of families...More

This is a great little pub that is the heart of the village. Serves great beer and very good pub grub.Well worth a visit and does very nice Sunday lunches in the winter months.

This pub is the worst pub on Hucknall's High Street. The staff are miserable, the pub itself is dingy, dark and cold. There is absolutely zero atmosphere and apart from a few 'die hard' locals, the pub is mostly empty Monday to Friday all day...More
