very hot during the summer, but nice sights to see and can walk through the tunnels and follow the guides to the different points. lots of history too going back to the roman times. very peaceful and quaint. no water ... and no crocodiles anymore!

This is definitely worth a stop if you are interested in historical places and in birding. There are several easy trails and lots of signs explaining the ruins.

Very close to road #2 (Tel-Aviv - Haifa) lies a small & quiet nature reserve. An opportunity to stretch your legs, maybe hear a historical anecdote. Go around, the stream never dries (uncommon in Israel...), and if you are lucky you will see a kingfisher....More

We visited here with friends and truly enjoyed the couple of hours spent. We started with a picnic breakfast (tables were readily available) and took a walking tour. Beautiful views and nature
