Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a very personable experience chatting away with the owner at this boutique winery. The pinot noir is worth the trip!

Enjoyable visit to taste the wines here. Informative and friendly- the owner Ed gave us the background of their discontinued line and a little bit of the history of the place. Was a bit cold in the tasting room - so rug up if you intend to visit in cold weather.

Was driving by and stopped in as we had not hear of it before. A lovely surprise! Wine tasting and going home with a bottle of sparkling.

Amazing vineyard with personal touch. We visited this vineyard 11am on a Thursday and the staff/owner were nothing but helpful and lovely. Very nice outlook and delicious wine. Will return for sure!!

I was very impressed by this winery! The previous Review did deter me, but this is not one to be skipped on the wine trail.
Annette provided a very personalised experience and tasting of their wines. Their new tasting room is very nice.

Well signposted Brook Eden vineyard is 11 k away from civilization. So we took the opportunity to drive there, turned off the main road at the well installed 'Cellar Door Open' sign and drove the last kilometer along one of the worst kept and bumpiest roads in civilization. Arrive to see a quaint 1950's caravan with 'Cellar Door' painted on the side. Open the door and it's stinking hot and full of boxes. Not a soul around! So we wait, and wait, and wait. No sign of human life - only flies - not even a snake or friendly lizard around to welcome us.

That's an hour of my life I'll never get back. What a poor way to run a business.

My recommendation - don't bother. It's out of the way and clearly badly managed. It's not possible to make good wine if this is how the business is run.

We're sorry we did not meet you at our cellar door. We were probably working in the vineyard and did not hear you come in. Brook Eden is a small vineyard that makes excellent Tasmanian wines, but there are only two of us to run it. Our cute caravan cellar door is our temporary tasting facility as we had a devastating fire last September when we lost our entire building, all that is left is the slab on which the caravan is parked. Operating our business has been quite difficult as I'm sure you would understand. We plan to rebuild on the site in the first part of this year and hope you will again pay us a visit when next you are in our area.

I first visited Brook Eden in 2008 and it's the only winery I do not miss when I return to Tasmania. I've since become a member and look forward to receiving my pack every 3-4 months. I find the service - both in person when I drop in and dealing via email/phone - personal and fluid. The wines are incredible - they're Watersedge Pinot is my all time favourite Pinot ever! I also love the whites and bubbles but I can't pass up the Pinot Noir! I find myself having a personal battle when it comes to friends (or clients) birthdays - I want everyone to enjoy Brook Edens Pinot but I hate giving away from my personal supply!! Do call in and visit - from the ducks on the damn as you drive in, to the chickens scratching free range in the garden - this winery is the perfect example of gorgeous country relaxed lifestyle. Don't miss Brook Eden!

I loved visiting Brook Eden Vineyard, driving up the long lane way passing the dams (filled with platypus!) over a hill, vineyards on either side, olive trees and beautiful walking paths, rolling hills and cattle grazing.. very peaceful and relaxed .. Ed and Annette the owners were fabulous at introducing the various wines and styles.. it was hard to choose!

Gorgeous setting matched by excellent wines (hint try the vintage Pinot Gris - you won't taste better anywherebelieve it) and charming host in Annette and Ed who have put their other lives behind them and have made the transition to the life they dreamed of.
If you ask nicely, Ed might take you to the lake and you may be lucky to spot a platypus or two.
Thoroughly recommend this winery to anyone passing through the area.
