I went for sunset shots...golden hour, sunset and blue hour but I only stayed for part of golden hour because of the condition of the road...I was afraid I would hit one of the many potholes and damage my car and there is no phone...More

On our way to Antigonish, we took a scenic drive to the lighthouse. Breathtaking is how I would describe it. A little out of our way but so worth the drive. It is the "Cabot Trail" of the Merigomish area. It was a beautiful, sunny...More

We travelled north on the Sunrise Trail from Merigomish to Cape George and then south to Antigonish. This is off the beaten track and we did not encounter many tourists. What a feast of wildlife ! A Black Bear crossing the road near Livingstone Cove,...More

We visited the Cape George point lighthouse on a nice sunny day. We did not have a picnic lunch but there are picnic tables there. And it is a nice secluded spot to enjoy the ocean. Always fun to see light houses.

The stop, is not far off the main highway. The road to the lighthouse is unpaved but is in quite good shape. The lighthouse is also in good repair so it makes for a good photographic image. The view of the ocean is excellent and...More

This lighthouse was a little different than most in Nova Scotia. It was in a nice park with good views.

The lighthouse is beautiful, for its fresh paint and well maintained lawn/park nearby. You cannot get up to the top, just walk around outside. The view from the park down to the water below is spectacular. The only issue is that it takes a long...More

We stopped at this Lighthouse on a return trip to the East coast and were impressed with the view and the picnic area. It is very pretty and a good spot to stop and relax for a bit. The trails look really interesting but we...More

Take the time to drive to the Cape George Point Lighthouse, and you will not be disappointed. The views are outstanding on this lighthouse that was built in 1968 and is still functioning. There are picnic tables and short hiking trails, so spend some time.
