Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Boat to the island is sorted out at the port, and costs 550 pesos. This is a fixed fee but the more people you have the cheaper it’ll be for you. We went in the morning on a weekday and it really wasn’t busy at all (around 8am). The weather was nice and we had a fantastic view of the mainland. Water is clean and crystal clear, and the boat journey takes around 10 minutes there, and the boat drivers wait for you for around 3 hours or so, but I guess you can negotiate this. Definitely worthwhile doing if you’re in Camiguin.

Had a very nice time here. Fixed price on the boat ticket and friendly snorkeling rental folks on the Camiguin side... Quick trip over, gorgeous views and pretty good walk-out snorkeling as well- some good corals, small fish and a massive blue starfish. Good opportunity to get something in early and still fit in a waterfall or clam sanctuary before lunch!

Went there very early in the morning and arrived at 630am. We spent like a good 2 hrs there. Roundtrip Boat rides are strictly up to 4 pax only including kids. The sand bar was great, though was a bit crowded as it was a weekend but you can still get some nice photos as people come and go. The kids had fun playing in the sand and we also had a fun time swimming there with some nice waves as well. My parents also had a great time under a nice big umbrella which we rented while eating breakfast and also trying out fresh sea urchin. Definitely one of our highlights in our Camiguin Trip.

Go early while it's still cool. As soon as the sun starts shining, it can get hot. Also, the terrain is mostly rocky white corals, so wear protective beach footwear if possible. Not really the most ideal beach site like Boracay or General Luna, but you can still lay down a towel and not stab yourself with the white rocks.

After a 15 minute boat ride, we were at 'instagramable' white beach. It was a great place to swim and walk along the sandbar. But make sure you go early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Abstract amazing.
You can go to white island every single day and enjoy.
There's only two white beaches here and this one is the best. You can do scuba diving and get an intense sun tan. White island is a must if you visit Camiguin.
The island changes from day to day. Sometimes large and other days smaller. Bring your own water to food and sun screen.
And camera of course. Amazing photos at dawn and twilight.

The white island is around 10 minute boat ride from the shores of Yumbing. The boat ride in itself adds to the thrill of the trip. You will enjoy seeing the clear water change from a shade of dark blue to lighter blue and then blue-greenish hue as you come near the island. It is nice to go swimming as there is a wide area of shallow waters. Snorkeling is fun too though there is not so much corals in the area. Few fishes and sea urchins can be observed though. I particularly enjoyed watching the black clown fish I called "Finding Emo".

if you are planning to visit white island i would suggest very early morning or late afternoon because the sea is still quite and the sun is not so hot. be sure to bring with you so foods and drinks not available foods in the island, except a sea urchin they offer. it is a thorny sea creature that inside of it a good and nice to eat.

Not sure what is do big about a sand bar but it attracts people. I thought it was going to be something worth seeing but as I took a boat and got closer I realized it's just a sand bar. If you have good binoculars you can see it and not waste your money. I found it hard to stay there for over 10 mins.

I’d agree. We also went there around that time— 5ish. There was just one group when we arrived.
It would be hard to enjoy the island if you’ll come a little bit later due to the crowd.

Can I check is it the boat will stay at the sandbar for 4 hour ? Can I know how it work? Thank in advance.
Written 2 October 2018
The boat can stay with you for the duration of your stay or you can arrange for pick up if you are planning to stay longer.
Written 3 October 2018
Do you have to rent the whole boat if you travel by yourself? What are other options?
Written 20 June 2018
No you don't have to rent the whole boat. You can find other passengers going there and you split the cost.
Written 27 June 2018
how to go there, via boat? usual price?
Written 11 September 2016
Yes, via pump boat. Nice place to see sunrise or sunset, otherwise just a sandbar. Watch for the currents if you swim there.
