About
Call in to taste our wines in a picturesque vineyard setting. The Penna Lane Cellar Door is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 11am to 5pm. And usually on holiday Mondays. All our wines can be purchased at Cellar Door, including some which you won’t find on the website, and they can be shipped anywhere within Australia.

The wines are great, we purchased there Riesling which has won the Elite gold medal at the latest wine show, it’s a truly deserved win, the wine was great. We also purchased their Rose which was fresh and fruity. The gentleman serving us was so knowledgeable and funny and it was a lovely little vineyard, the setting under the trees is beautiful and if we had more time I would have loved to sit there and enjoy a bottle of wine, we will return.

Such a great little Cellar Door. We asked if we could do our tasting outside. Dave was very accommodating and set us up on a table outside. Their wines are REALLY good. 2024 Watervale Riesling is a cracka!
Dave was a fountain of knowledge about his wines and Clare in general.
Please Please visit this CD. You won’t regret it.

Only a small cellar door but very hospitable staff and above all the wines are superb so call in to this small batch vineyard and sample a drop.

The owner is very lovely and not pushy. You can try the wines for free and their really nice. Especially liked the cabsav this time!

Guy who served us was friendly and funny, so we knew we would have a good time. Unfortunately, they no longer have platters available, but we were given a recommendation for lunch nearby. Had a nice time chatting with the guy, who told us not to wait another 4 years before coming back as he might be dead! Bought the Autumn Harvest Riesling, which was just a little sweet with a clean finish.

We discovered Penna Lane after a recommendation from friends.The cellar door is nestled in it's vineyard and also amongst the gums. It is shady and secluded.
But it is the wine which is the bigger treat. The riesling is crisp clean and a great colour and we loved the cabernet and the shiraz.
Even though there are higher profile cellar doors quite close by, make a stop at Penna Lane and be wowed by their wines and the gentle experience of tasting wines for free.

Visited Penna Lane at the end of our Riesling Trail adventure. Dave was great & we bought 2 bottles of shiraz. He even dropped them off at our B&B in Clare

From the moment Steve welcomed us at the front door, through his great explanations of the wines and his interaction with our group, Steve created a great tasting experience .
