We were both looking forward to a lovely meal. Lady behind the bar looked a mess and very sharp. Had the roast which was not nice at all. Half cooked and warm will not return.

Walked from Maldon to Heybridge along the canal stopping for coffee at the cafe. The food looked delicious although we only had coffee! Great walk back along the lagoon to Maldon. Lovely views

Good food in a realy good location, food is home made pub grub full plate hot and great tasting with good sweets well wort a visit

This is a very beautiful place to go for a walk. There is a lock for you to watch comings and goings when the tide is in. Boats are moored up along the river giving you another way to walk. Or take the Dyke wall...More

Or you go to Maldon Promenade Park on the other side of the river. They have a nice lake for crabbing and model boats.
