My first visit here was excellent. Amazing collection packed into a deceptively small area, but it does not feel overcrowded. Everything from ancient weapons, to real gadgets used real spies! Had a great trip here today with my husband and son (10yrs). So much to look at!! A great collection of all things military dating back to 300BC, staff were really welcoming and helpful and extremely knowledgeable!

I found this museum by Googling military museums in Essex. Its hard to believes this is one man's private collection. The collection is so varied from swords to Surface to Air Missiles. The espionage section was better than anything Ian Fleming wrote.

It is just opposite the roundabout from Tesco and it's under £5 for adults they do discounted rates for students and concessions/senior citizens but not sure exact amount, they do have a website though.
