People tend to just see Domodossola from the train, and think it a boring place. But venture out into the village and find the Old Town - it is a fantastic experience of well-kept medieval houses, little alleys, small cafes and gelaterias. Finish the explorations...More

This market was full of stalls, selling a huge array of things from cheese to clothes. The food stalls were amazing, cheese, hams, sausages, vegetables, all fresh / home produced. Great Atmosphere. Well worth taking the time to browse.

The city of Domodossola was a great surprise for us! We went there to do the train ride to Locarno but In the end the best part was the city, the old city (Piazza Del Mercato), and the visit to Sacro Monte Calvario.

We spent a few hours walking around in Domodossola after travelling from Locarno on the Centrovalli railway. The medieval town has many interesting buildings and the Piazza Mercato is an irregular shaped area surrounded by buildings of elegance. There are cafes and restaurants to sit...More
