We were impressed by the glass blowing demonstration provided during the tour. Their showroom was extensive in its exhibition of their glass artistry. We ordered some glassware items that arrived recently, and we are looking forward to sharing them with family and friends. We needed some changes during the order and delivery process, and they provided the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. If we get back to Italy, we will definitely make a return stop at Ferro & Lazzarini.

Venice was the last stop of our Italian holiday.We had the rudest experience at Fornace Ferro and Lazzarini.We never even got in.
We saw the Europe approved shop sticker for Celebrity and Princess Cruises on the door and went towards the entrance.We stood outside usure if that was the entrance to a shop or office because of how it looked.A thin tall bald man with glasses (2nd from the right,seated in the front row in the attached photo) who had seen us approaching had gone in and closed the door.It was a scorching hot day.
He stood staring at us from inside but made no attempt to assist.When we opened the door and greeted him,and asked if this was a glass shop,he barked "WHAT".We thought nothing of this as we thought it was just the loud Italian way and due to language differences.
However when I repeated the question he just growled "YES"and nothing further.I still thought nothing of it.and asked "where is the show room".
He then barked "PLEASE".I again thought he did not understand English.So I repeated the question,to which he then said."FIRST SAY PLEASE".with a snarl.
I then realized the whole time we had thought that this man was having difficulty understanding English,he was just being rude and belligerent towards my family and I.
I said don't bother.And we discussed in front of him about reporting his rudeness to the cruise ship companies that endorse his shop.The commission and kick backs to the cruise lines cannot be more important than civil,polite behavior from this shop.I don't know if it is his company general policy or just his behavior,or if he behaves like this with white visitors as well.We are of Asian descent.
As we angrily left,a young,friendly guy who witnessed this told us come to their showroom,which was a few metres away.We went in and saw a glass blowing demo as my kids really wanted to see this.I don't know if the shops are owned by the same people,but this shop is friendly,polite and airconditioned.
The only problem is when you disembark the vaporetto you first walk past Ferro and Lazzarini.Whereas the shop just past them is friendlier and has more helpful people.
Especially when on holiday remember just to see something you don't have to lose your self respect and dignity.
And for the record.the Ferro and Lazzarini shop was dead,whereas the other shop was buzzing.

I order a chandelier in may 2014 and The compagny did not honour thé order. At end of septembre thé work was not done and first pieces were not at all what we agreed on ( from pictures sent). I stopped the order and they committed themselves into refunding me, at mid october they did not refund me yet.

Do NOT buy glass from this showroom in Murano. They do NOT stand behind their glass products. I unfortunately bought drinking glasses from them. The first time I poured water into one of the glasses, the bottom of the glass broke off. I am heartbroken. I contacted them about it but they refuse to replace the glass - even though I offered to pay for the shipping. They are high pressure, rude and dishonest. Buyer beware.

We visited this murano glass factory as part of a Collette Vacation group tour. At Ferro E Lazzarini we purchased a murano vase for 300 euros. We mentioned to the sales person several times that this was a wedding gift. When we arrived back home last week, the vase was not in a gift box. WORSE. I went on line to look up the vase and. it can be purchased for $199.99 and delivered to our home in a gift box with free shipping. We paid twice as much at this murano glass factory. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT A MURANO GLASS FACTORY. You can find it cheaper in a store in Venice or on line. Lesson learned.

Nice demonstration of glass blowing and work but then forget the sales room. Just turn right before you go up the stairs and save yourself the unpleasant rudeness of the female staff upstairs

Murano glassware, known worldwide, is produced in this factory on the island of Murano, across from the city of Venice. A water taxi trip to the factory provided a wonderful view of Venice and the nearby islands making up the region. Upon arrival, we were escorted into the furnace workplace where the master glassblowers were working. A description of the process, explanation of the use of minerals for color, just as it has been done for the existence of the company, and a demonstration of the actual creation of a piece was presented. We were amazed at the quality of the products, and a demonstration of how stemless wine glasses right themselves if they tip over was surprising. There were 3 levels of showrooms, each providing works of different values. Those at the top 2 levels were produced by master artisans and were costly, but very unique and beautiful. There were wine sets, figurines, jewelry and chandeliers, to name a few. The last shop had more reasonably priced items made by apprentices to the masters. They were still authentic to the company. I bought a bracelet of small mosaic beads which are used to make trays, larger jewelry pieces, etc, a blown heart charm and a small swan figurine. All together, spent approximately 100EU, but they come with certificates of authenticity. Not the same for some of the shops around the city who have cheaper, but not authentic works. Was worth visiting, educationally and aesthetically.

Very disappointed in the quality of glasses received by mail. We could not find the color we wanted at the factory. But we were promised they would make them especially for us as requested, and send them along. I understand that hand-blown items have differences, however, the four glasses bought at $70+ are so different that might even be seconds or rejects. The patterns in the glass and the sizes are very different. Don't buy anything you can't pick out and review yourself.

We went there on a tour, recommended by the concierge at our hotel. After a lovely boat ride we were greeted at the dock by Christian. He escorted us in to the workshop where we saw a gentleman who was obviously very skilled at what he was doing. Yes we were then given a tour of the shop, where yes, they would like us to buy something. We restrained ourselves and then we spent 3 hours exploring the island with me driving my partner mad going into virtually every shop looking for some glass work uniquely Murano. The following day we ended up going back to where we started Ferro & Lazzarini, where we made a couple of purchases of what we think are beautiful and very different from anything we saw around St Marks Square, or anywhere else on Murano.
If you are serious about looking for glass and understand that they would like you to purchase something, it is a very worthwhile visit. And ask for Christian, with my indecisiveness he was very patient and understanding.

We visited Murano and the Ferro Lazzarini Glass Factory last year (2013) during a brief stay in Venice. We took the all-in-one boat tour from Venice to Murano and Burano, and while in Murano got the usual furnace(?) and glass shop tour, complete with free glass souvenirs and a glass making demonstration. After the demonstration we were directed into the showroom. There was no pressure by any sales person, although plenty were around to answer questions. When we found a piece that we liked we enquired of a gentleman who was incredibly helpful and patient, but never pushy. We decided to purchase the piece after some negotiation. He explained the costs, that shipping and all taxes and fees were included in the price, offered to engrave the bottom with our name and year of visit at no charge (which we accepted), and that the piece would come with a certificate and biography of the glass maker artist. He even included several additional glass souvenirs for the kids and a replacement item (the piece had interchangeable pieces) for our piece in case of breakage at no additional charge. The package arrived at our house several weeks after we returned from our trip just as it was promised when purchased in Murano. We love the piece and showing it in the center of our dining room table. The visit to Ferro E Lazzarini was an enjoyable experience!

I purchased a mosaic vase for a wedding gift for 300 euros on 18/4/18. I was with the Colette group. I told the salesman this was a wedding gift. He packaged it with no gift box. How can I get an official box with the murano logo?

I had ordered a tea cup and saucer set that during their tour was shown with a box to display. When shipped they forgot the box and I sent an email requesting - it was received quickly with no problems.

Io credo proprio di si,considerato che agosto sia il mese con il più alto flusso di turisti.Ho visitato la vetreria ad agosto 2016 ed era di sabato,ma dagli orari che ho visto esposti erano aperti tutti i giorni compresa la domenica dalle 09,00 alle 16,00.
