Discovery Wildlife Park provides "forever" homes for orphaned...

Discovery Wildlife Park provides "forever" homes for orphaned wildlife and displace exotic animals. Daily animal presentations are included with your admission and provide an up close educational experience for all ages. Bears, tigers, jaguars, lions and wolves all take part in these presentations to educate our visitors on conservation issues and the importance of respect for all wildlife. We have a full concession plus an amazing gift shop for your shopping pleasure! Electric golf carts are available to rent if you have a family member with mobility challenges. Camping is also available onsite. Parking is free and there is plenty of room for big RV's and buses. The park is 90 acres and there is about a mile of walking, there are tables and benches throughout the park for your family picnic (yes, you may also bring your own lunch!) and we offer photo opportunities with our famous movie star bears and our TV star beaver.

Nice, large park to visit.

I went there with in-laws who have two kids 6 and 12, we all enjoyed ourselves. Although I hate to see any animal caged up, these pens are a decent size to large and they are... read more

We really do love bringing our now 3 year old to visit the animals. She cried her sweet lil heart out when she was not allowed to pet the bear lol. Kids, right? The animals are all beautiful and seem content. I wish there was a way to have a chance to directly feed them as we have with other... More

I had the opportunity to visit the Discovery Wildlife Park near Innisfail Alberta this summer with my grandson. It was an awesome experience not only visiting the animals but going on the bear tour and getting a picture taken with one of them was very exiting for the boy. We also got a tour of the reptile section and the... More

The park is spread out and the animal enclosures are large. I think it is a wonderful that there are parks like this who are able to care for orphaned animals or injured animals that cant be returned to the wild. Enjoyable walk around the enclosures, animals seem happy and healthy and lots of black bears to see as well... More

We went to the Discovery Park twice in Sept with family and friends. Both times, we saw the bears presentation but they were with different bears and completely different shows, very informative and interesting. The grounds are immaculate and the animal enclosures seem roomy and spread out. The camel and the ostrich were particularly entertaining. Everything seems well thought out... More

This is an open air wildlife park featuring a wide variety of animals in large fenced-off enclosures. The trails around the enclosures are well surfaced and easy to walk. Staff are both friendly and knowledgeable. The presentations that they put on periodically are well worth attending. The gift shop too is very good. The variety of animals is considerable, ranging... Visited this gem of a place one cloudy afternoon with a friend. We throughly enjoyed the bear presentation. It was informative and cute to see all the tricks they could do. We were amazed at how healthy and relaxed all the animals looked, each of their coats were shiny and thick and not one animal looked to be in distress.... More

I went there with in-laws who have two kids 6 and 12, we all enjoyed ourselves. Although I hate to see any animal caged up, these pens are a decent size to large and they are chain link so it does not feel like a prison sentence for these beautiful animals. Except the monkeys, I would rather see a larger... More

Seeing animals in zoos and cages always l makes me sad, but I didn't feel that way at all at the Discovery Wildlife Park. Every animal in the park was orphaned, injured or retired from the movie world. They are animals that can not go back into the wild and were going to be destroyed. It is so nice knowing... More
