We really enjoyed spending some time here. The walk up to the pagoda, while not strenuous, gave us a nice little workout. The views from the top are fantastic and the pagoda provides a nice place to reflect upon the lives that were lost due...More

It is pretty much impossible to detemine the fog condition until the day of your visit. From my previous visit in the morning (around 9am) I had to wait around 1 hour up in the mountain for the fog to clear to get a decent view of Mt Fuji. But that was in early April in which the weather was still cold (below 10 degrees celcius), so I can't imagine how cold it would be when you and your family visits in late December. And also I have to mention that you need to climb 400 (plus) steps up the mountain and back.
