Nice park to walk in. Modern, life size sculpture of the tomb offering. Museum small (many objects taken to Lanzhou), but still some objects to see. Pay to enter the tomb, bare, but interesting to see the real thing, the design, and the build.

Wuwei was another stopover for travelers during our journey along the Silk Road.It is famous for the discovery of the Leitaisi Tombs. Flying Horse In 1969 ,farmers digging a well uncovered relics and artifacts from the Han dynasty .They found ancient copper carts, stone animals , pottery ,lacquer, and bronze ornaments.The jewel find is the 2000 years old bronze "Flying Horse of Wuwei" .It has been adopted as the official symbol of Gansu province since .The original relics were kept in the museum. In Wuwei ,there are horse brands and symbols everywhere.. Hotels ,cars , fast food chain, garments, mineral water , tonic drinks and even tissue paper packet . War Horse Historically , Wuwei was famous for its war horses used in campaigns against the Xiongnu barbarians.These horses are strong, fast and agile.The tails are short or bundled up.Ready for Battle..They ate an exotic grass from nearby Shandan Plains. Wuwei war horses were bred only for emperors and generals during the Han and Tang dynasties.Plastic version of the famous Wuwei horse can be bought from the roadside here. Buddhism Numerous Buddhist caves and temples are also found here. Wuwei was another route for Buddhism from India and Afghanistan into China via the ancient Silk Road.
