Rules Have Changed...
Dec. 2019
We had been going to this paradise for the past 3 years and this season was a flop. People were not obligated to be nude anymore, which lead to a number of annoying curious dressed people staring at everybody. Which for us was a big NO NO! "Recalculating Route" for summer next year! This was our last time... Unfortunately...

Calm and clean
Jan. 2019 • Friends
Amazing calm and clean beach with nice structure around. Be aware this is a nudist beach so you can find naked people everywhere. Even though it’s such a familiar place with entire families enjoying the beach. You can stay in a clothes optional area as well

Beautiful Beach
Sep. 2017 • Solo
It is a naturist beach with very beautiful scenery. Couples have a camping facility and singles hang out in a different place. Gets naughty in the bushes, be careful with snakes. Lol...

Off-season visit
Nov. 2016 • Couples
Last November, we visited again.
Clean beach and warm weather. Not many visitors, so we had the beach for us.
There are two options for beverage, chairs and sunscreen. One from the camping, the other from the restaurant/bar on the entrance.
Both are very good, discrete and educated service staff.
We dream to get back every year.

Excellent naturist beach
Jan. 2015
The first naturist beach in Brazil, very clean, calm and silent beach.
Recommended for family and easy access by car.
There is a camping facility, usually crowded in summer.

Great Beach But Tough To Reach
Jan. 2015 • Family
I didnt want to drive a rental car. Buses only pass by at this beach every 2 hours and at high season its iffy and buses are usually too full so you should take a taxi as a last resort. We paid 60 reales, ($20.00usd ) each way and we stayed 5 hours. We had scheduled the driver return to pick us up.
The waves at this particular beach are stronger so if you like to body surf its acceptable. Be prepared to pay a little for an umbrella, chairs, etc because the sun is also strong in January. Overall it was our favorite part of the trip, to be totally exposed so to speak and to be truly relaxed. Many of the couples we saw were probably Brazilians in their 30s or older, kids were few. At high season there was plenty of room for more people on the beach. I cannot say for certain how the other services offered were or if its worthwhile since all we wanted was to swim in warm water and sunbathe. We didn't pay an entrance fee, its free if you arrive as a couple and you don't have a vehicle to park.
Totally worth it if you compare this trip $$$$ to the BORING programmed excursions in the surrounding areas.
Most couples we saw were Traditional male-female so It's tough to say if alternative preferences or lifestyles are considered as couples. Please check before going.

Looks like a zoo
Oct. 2010
This place is crap, first of all why single males are denied the right of entry? Do not they have the right to be naked at that beach only 'cause they are alone? second, above the beach there is a high ground full of spectators watching the naturists below as in a circus; third, if one is wearing even something small as a bath suit one is not allowed to mix with the nude people, why? does one have to be naked all the time?
There are funny and strange concepts ruling that place, tipical brazilian false moral and machist.

Excellent beach, good infrastructure, nudity mandatory
Feb. 2011
This is an easily accessible beach near Balneario Camburiu, one of the most popular vacation spots in South America. Full nudity is required by all (there is a separate textile beach). Unaccompanied males are allowed access only if they are current members of the International Naturist Federation and present their naturist passport.

Infrastructure includes a small "hotel" and restaurant, and a kiosk on the beach sells snacks and drinks as well as renting lounging chairs and beach umbrellas. There is a modest parking fee (access to both the textile and naturist areas) used by the naturist committee that maintains the facility, and an additional parking charge if you want to park in the fully nude section. From there it is only a few meters to the beach.

The general area is top-rated for vacationing, with South America's largest theme park (Beto Carrero World), a cable-car that lifts you over a mountain between the city and one of the other beaches that offers spectacular views, canopy tours, excellent "churrasco" and seafood restaurants, and night-life rivaling any other city in Brazil. The main disadvantage is the high number of summer visitors, resulting in traffic congestion.
