Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Miolo Winery is one of the most traditional in the region. The facility tour they offer is standard but the really down side to us is that they only offer one type of wine tasting where only the most basic wines produced are served. If you want to try their signature and most well rated wines, go straight to the wine Garden, find a Nice place to relax and order glasses of their best wines paired with Nice snacks.

Remarkable experience for learning and tasting some of the good wines that are being slowly being produced in Brazil. I am proud of my country when I visit such a wellborganized and beautiful place.

I am just writing this review because I visited Rio Grande do Sul already a couple of times & found it extremely enjoyable. Not a region that is high on the list of tourist destinations, but in my opinion this is entirely unjustified: the natural environment is very particular and some spots are as spectacular as the Pantanal or some of the better known rain forest destinations. More notably, the RS Gauchos are simply the most wonderful and generous people - even if you don't speak any Portuguese...
Well about the wine: I am somewhat upset about these very derogatory reviews of the Miolo winery that have been posted here. Yes, it might have to do with my fondness of this region and its people, but also because as a wine amateur with some experience, tasting and buying wines all over the world, think these Miolo guys do a very good job indeed. Admittedly, this is not ranked amongst the best wine regions of this planet, and their single-grape and low-price varieties are not very fine wines. But try their Miolo Lote 43 as unbiased as you can, & just see what you think... It does relate to other Bordeaux blend wines with serious fruity concentration on the nose & the palate when young, but Lote 43 displays a light-footed finesse that make it quite distinct from typical Argentinians or other South American wines - or comparable French wines for that matter. Perhaps comparison with some of these ICT Tuscan wines is more appropriate, which could make sense given the Italian roots of the Miolo family. This is a well-made wine that certainly deserves a place amongst some of the finer New World wines, and if it also evokes your fondest memories of Rio Grande do Sul, as it does with me… well, what can I say…

Years ago I used to come quite often.. I did the tasting, visitation etc. this year I went just to buy one specific wine (Lote 43). I wanted to try other wines (specifically the pinot noir. For my surprise they told us they don’t do more tasting of single bottles and you have to do the paid tasting. They would allowed me to do to the tasting without the visitation, but when I asked which wines were included they would not tell. But basically pinot noir would not be one of them. So what’s the purpose? You go to a winery to try the flavour and then buy a bottle. The staff it is nice the place ia beautiful but the wine purchase was disappointed and then after coming here before definitely not coming back

It's not worth the visit if we compare it to so many other wonderful wineries around. In fact, what left something to be desired was the service provided by the staff. Even a little rude.

We did the wine tasting - and they were all terrible!
I got the "golden" ticket and my husband got the "silver". Either way, they were all just too bad.
My husband started joking about what the wines tasted like - he came up with "foot odor" and "manure". We were under the impression they poured the worst wine in the house so they could save some money (and waste ours!).
The place itself is nice, but for a winery, they should offer better wines.

Well structured winery in south of Brazil, they provide a good tour around the premises and the visit ends with a wine tasting of couple labels of their selection. For everyone who appreciates wine is highly recommended (I’m not sure if they provide the tour in English, but everyday is so many people there that will be hard to not to find a friendly Brazilian willing to help translating what the tour guide is explaining).

We went to Bento Gonçalves in a motorcycle tour with friends. In our second day we visited Miolo Winery. It was a very nice visit and we could learn about wine a little bit more. We recommend!

We went on the winery tour which was informative, but nothing exceptional - just a standard tour. There was a tasting afterwards in the tasting room. I enjoyed the demo and explanation about how to taste wines although I did not care for many of the wines we tried, but that's just my taste. Very typical experience for a big name winery, nothing exceptional, but worth getting to know.

AlguĂ©m poderia me informar? Agradeço.

Bom dia.

Aproveite. Bjsss
