Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The smell of sulfur you may find it annoying, but there's a good view of Manado city from the heights that probably worth the hike.

Hire a local guide to show you an alternate route, take your pictures and lead you to the cheapest massage tent. Yes, they got a massage corner for you (or those) who got tired (or enjoy getting a massage) after the hike. The massage will cost you 20K for 15 minutes and whole day knee-dipping in the hot pool.

Entry to this site is Rs15,000 per person. It is a very beautiful and well maintained garden around a large paved pathway that winds up a hill with great views from the top. Along the way are high quality life-sized statues of the Stations of the Cross. At the top there is a chapel and amphitheatre. This would be a nice pilgrimage site for Catholics. For us it was a nice walk through lovely gardens with birds and butterflies. Whilst it is up hill, it is not a challenging walk. The living ‘rails’ along the path are made from tree-fern stumps and ropes which have become small gardens in their own right. I was impressed with the landscaping, cleanliness and maintenance of this place and it is well worth a visit if you are going to other sites in this area.

If you are looking for a place to reflect, this is for you. It is so calm and tranquil that upon leaving this place, you will feel like you are rejuvenated. It is also clean and well-maintained. With Mt. Lokon in the background, this place is picturesque.

It has good view. There is an area for the children. But it's way for the cars was really disappointed. You cant use public transportation so you have to use your own car or have to rent a car. But blue taxis are really dangerous in this road. You should not rent this tipe or car. We rented one of them.but i prefered to walk while the car was climbing the hill.

It’s clean well kept and a place to take a family or friends. The walk with the stations of the cross was very cool. We met family’s having picnics and flying their drones. It was a really nice spot to visit. If you live in the area it would be a great place to hang out for a few hours.

We walked around the church - fanatic spot for observing Lokon volcano and valley.
Also we found the road from the bottom of the hill with statues dedicated to Jesus crucifixion, ending the tunnel. In tunel was dark cave with tomb of Jesus and bats. I was a bit scared in the cave. However after exiting the tunnel you find yourself in nice peaceful place with ponds and Mother Mary Cave with waterfall.

It was interesting experience. In addition they serve delicious coffee (included in ticket) on terrace with wonderful view.

It's one of the most famous spot here in Manado.

They said it's consist of every building that used for pray for every religion that exist in Indonesia, but sadly I only manage to find chapel (maybe it's just because I was too busy to take a picture of it).

You have to pay some retribution to get here, and they said you can exchange the ticket for coffee or tea, again apparently they will provide you two kind of tickets, one is the retribution and the other is "free" coffee and every ticket has its own price,
so your coffee or tea is not "that free".

Bukit Doa is located not too far away from Manado city. There’s Catholic chapel where many people have weddings here.
The views is nice, and there are a lot of nice spot for taking photos.
There is also a place to pray, Mother Mary Cave (Jesus’s Mother), and a tunnel goes to a place representing Jesus’s tomb.
It is a must place to visit while in Manado.

Went here during school holiday with my big family. There is a teenager & 3 elderlies in our group. The elderlies have a good time sitting at the cafe, enjoying the cool fresh air, accompanied by hot tea & banana chips. Whereas the adults & teen went to the back of the chapel to take photos. The mountain view from there is very picturesque. No wonder there are a lot of other people also took photos there at that time.
