Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a place to pass through if you need to take the cable car. You need to walk for quite a long distance before you reach this place. It was very tough to walk in the snow and ice during winter time. Crampons are needed to prevent your shoes from slipping and falling down to the wet ice. This is a very beautiful place and before you reach here, you also need to q up for a long time before you can take the cable car to go up to the Golden Summit.

Leidongping is the last stop for shuttle bus. You will have to walk about 1.3km to the cable car station. Take a slow stroll to enjoy the scenery along the way.

Visited Mt Emei few times. Lai Dong Ping was always covered with cloud and mist. Visibility was low, and it was pretty cold too, during early April. There were winter jackets rental stores with deposit of RMB300 and rental fees at RMB30 each.
There were few restaurants by the side of the big car park, catered to tour groups and hungry guests. The foods were so so. From Lei Dong Ping, visitors need to walk up the steps for about 30 mins. The steps were wet and slippery in early April. It is advisable to wear non slip water proof shoes during this season.
On the way, visitor could meet with Emei’s monkeys coming out to look for food. Park ranger were there to control some more aggressive ones from snatching foods from visitors
There were some stalls selling hot snacks, sweet potatoes, maizes and tea leaves along the way to cater to the needs of the visitors.

If you have come up by bus, this is where you get the cablecar. It was an attractive mid-level place where one could spend the night. I only walked around a while before going on up to Jinding.

I was there in winter.Everything was turn to white color. The leaves, the trees, the ground like in fairytale :) It's also the only access to go to Golden Summit. There is also skiing resort there. It's about 5mins walk from Leidong Ping Bus station.it costs 120yuan for one hour, the fee is include the ski equipment, the gloves. But the resort is not that big as in Europe. But it's good to go for beginner :)

Stayed here the night before we took the cable car to the summit. Very different in the day vs night. Lots of tourists vs peaceful at night.

We had to pass by this place on our hike from Qingyin Pavilion up to the Golden Summit. While most of the hike was very enjoyable, the section from Leidongping to the Golden Summit was a madhouse. Buses stop at Leidongping and one can take the cable car (65 RMB up; 55 RMB down) or walk to the top. There is not much worthwhile here - just a lot of hawkers who insist on overcharging foreigners and throngs of people passing through. There were monkeys being fed by dumb tourists nearby. It is hard to think of this place as an attraction.

It's a halfway point. In winter time, this is the entry to the ski resort. So, for other seasons of the year, it's simply where the bus drops off passengers, with a few cheap & ill-equipped hotels and restaurants to provide services that are found wanting. Absolutely pointless destination:(

May I know how I can get from Leidongping bus station to the Emeishan ski fields? Is there some kind of transportation or easily reachable by foot?
