We stayed at one of the houses/lodges in the gold estate. The house itself was fantastic, but the estate had a slightly neglected feel to it. The water feature/fountain at the reception area was empty and dirty; the access gate and road wasn't in a good condition. Granted, it was low season and things were quiet, but the atmosphere wasn't... More

Furing our stay at the Hans Merensky Estate we had experienced an amazing time and great service. It is thus with great pleasure to announce that this estate offered 5 star treatment and service to 285 delegates from all over South Africa , and made the annual National Schools Debating Competition just simply amazing! We visited Hans Merensky for the 2nd time this year. I would just like to congratulate the staff and management for the huge improvement we experienced. The staff made us feel welcome and relaxed. They were very helpful and co-operative. The food was outstanding and the rooms a delightful surprise. The spa was a relaxation by itself. We don't golf,... More

Management have unfortunately neglected the golf course over the past few months, however, the locals have taken control and are busy restoring the course as far as they... More

We were excited to see the much acclaimed Hans Merensky "Golf in the Wild" course. What a shame to see the course in ruins. Its playable, if you like getting sand in your face every putt or having the greens so rough that your ball veers off course. Just being out on the course was great and knowing that there... More

Visited this establishment for the second time for conference. This year was a much improved experience compared to last year. The hotel and surroundings are absolutely fabulous. The organization of the event was flawless. The food and service were outstanding.

a must play golf course that offers great golf, birding and wildlife. HME is rated one of the top walking courses in South Africa and has plenty of wildlife as it borders the world famous Kruger National Park and offers excellent accommodation and conferencing facilities
