Spent about 2 hours here i Bruehl, 20 klms south of Cologne and could have spent extra time, as we were rushed, especially in the magnificent castle. The staircase , made of marble and stucco, is breathtaking. The outside gardens and grounds set in its...More

Clemens August was an interesting fellow. He liked to have castles built. He did not live to see this one completed. This castle is a masterpiece of German Rococo. But what I enjoyed most of all where the stories our guide told us about the...More

Located between Bonn and Cologne in Germany, this beautiful Rococo or late baroque style summer castle is a treat to your eyes. Some say that this palace was inspired by the famous Versailles palace in France. In typical Rococo style, this masterpiece is a grand...More

We have visited more beautiful castles, on better guided tours (this one is really too hurried). The complete lack of original furniture is bothering too, and even the staircase, in his fake marble, looks very fake. Still, after all, very much worth a visit!

The palace has the interest of being one of the best samples of Rococo that I've seen. A wanna-be Versailles palace, that shows all the pride and arrogance of the old rules. It's worthy a visit if you are around. HOWEVER be prepared for a...More

The palace is former residence of the prince-elector Clemes Augustus, brother of the emperor. The inner design of the halls and rooms is fine example of the rococo stile made by some of the outstanding architects and painters of the time. Around the schloss there...More

If you are staying in Bonn or Cologne then this is a must see. The Palace is located at Bruhl about 15 mins from Bonn or Cologne and it is super easy to find right off the train station. Grounds are gorgeous and are free...More

+ Beautiful palace and gardens. You can tell it is well maintained both inside and out. The furnishings are beautiful and immaculate. Truly impressive place to visit. Nice change of pace just a 15 min train ride from Cologne. The palace is also easily accessible...More

This castle is beautiful! We did the audio tour in English and it was nice. I think the German tour guide a lot more details that we wish we had heard but it was still amazing place to see!!

We visited this palace while staying in Troisdorf, its about a 40 minute drive from there but the train station is literally opposite the Palace gates if you want to get the train. There is a large carpark nearby which cost a couple of Euros...More

I am on a Viking cruise and the Bruhl Palaces are a side trip. Is it more worth seeing the palaces or spending time strolling around Cologne

We did a Rhine cruise with Viking last June & did the walking tour of Cologne in the morning & the Bruhl palaces in the afternoon on the extra tour. We enjoyed the Cologne walking tour but could have probably done with a... More

Добрый день. Открыт ли парк в понедельник? То, что дворец закрыт, я поняла. Но можно ли погулять по парку? К сожалению, приехать можем только в понедельник... Good afternoon. Is the park open on Monday? The fact that the palace is closed, I understood. But is it possible to walk around the park? Unfortunately, we can arrive only on Monday ...
