JYOTIRLINGA TEMPLE. A big temple dedicated to LORD SHIVA. Powerful God. The Lord of Time. BHASMA ARTHI is done using Hot and fresh BHASMA. It is performed early in the morning by 4 AM. Prasadam is available in the stall inside the temple.

The visit of this temple was a great moment of our last trip to India. If you are a tourist like me, I suggest you take a fast lane by paying an additionnal 150 or 200 rupees, otherwise you may stay 2-3 hours in line. This temple can be very busy. Had a peaceful time inside the temple which is a Jyothirling Mobile/Camera not allowed inside the temple. Regular darshan would take away almost 3 to 4 hours. Special darshan cost Rs.150 per person If one is inside the temple during arti (recommended) it gets very crowded but the mass chanting makes one forget material world. mandir is well maintained, normal days don't need to buy fastrack tickets. because inside in main line you have to be in que. do not trust pandits do your pooja by yourself. cell phones, bags are not allowed inside mandir but locker system is available on only fast track tickets holders.

Remember to leave your shoes, belts and mobiles behind in your car. While the locker facility is available, you will need to retrace your steps to collect it back.

Always heaven... gr8 temple and offcourse a jyotirling. Holy place.. must visit.. holy devine. N request travellers to watch arti.. i could visit only the arti at 10:30pm and missed bhasm arti due to advance booking which i didnt had knowledge of it.
