It was very quiet here with nobody around but definitely worth a visit to have a little walk around in the afternoon as it is unbearably hot during the day

If you have a car the drive there is beautifull. But the inside of the church is also beautifull and well kept. Worth a stop when driving the mountains.

The saint of the island is laid in state in the church. The nuns watch over. We were allowed in during a service which was very kind of them, there were lots of tourist too! There is also a new church there.

we went on a Kefalonia coach trip , and the visit to the monastery was included, very peaceful and lovely place...

This monastery is high on the hills above Sami, reached by road or walking. Amazing views over the island of Cephalonia and towards Ithaca. The monestry is only open at certain times but the views are worth it anytime.

Peaceful and stunning setting on top of a hill above Antisamos beach, Sami. Glorious panoramic views around the area and down to Antisamos.
