We booked to go to Ithica with Sami Star and had a fantastic day out. The boat was not overcrowded like some others we have seen, the crew were extremely pleasant and polite and the boat was very comfortable. We had sufficient time to get a taster for both Vathy and Kioni and two good swim stops. Thank you Sami... More

Best way to have a short visit to Ithaca from Cephalonia. This glass-bottom boat departs from Sami, Cephalonia at 9.30 am and turns back at 4.00 pm. The price is 30 Euros for adults and 15 Euros for children. Two beaches (Filiatro and Gidaki) and two harbours (Vathi and Kioni) are visited. There are many interesting gift shops in Vathi... More

Compared to the other boat trips on the island where there are up to 120 people on each boat, crammed in this boat trip is smaller with far less people. It is glass bottomed with a slide for those swim stops. the trip to Ithaka was very nice where we had two swim stops and stops at Kioni and Vathy,... More

Scorching day, so it was lovely to go out on the water and make four stops in the villages and coves of Ithaca, an island to the east of Cephalonia. Very punctual on all the times - board by 9:15am and back at 4pm. We went ashore twice and swam in 2 different coves which were inaccessible from the land... More

Took a trip to Ithaca last Saturday. The cruise included 4 stops, 1 on the way to Vathy in a small bay to swim and then at Vathy to browse the shops, and Kioni for lunch before a further swim stop on the way back to Sami. Stops were just about the right length and even though we didn't swim... More

What this is not is a guided and commentated tour of Ithaca so don't expect one. What it is is a lovely cruise around the island with stops for swimming, shopping and lunch. We booked a couple of days ahead at Blue Star Travel in Sami. On the day we arrived at port at 9.15am and with about 16 others... More

We loved this day trip! Stopped off at a couple of beaches, stopped off at two places in Ithaca - one for coffee, one for lunch. Had fun on the boat with the slide etc ... really great day out!

Just got back from a tour of this island with Avgerinos travel experience. Our tour guide being Vicky, what a fantastic day from start to finish. Beautiful scenery, made even more interesting by Vicky. She was very knowledgeable about the island, and when speaking of it , it came from her heart. She also had a great sense of humour.... More

We had a great day out on the Sami Star visiting Ithaca. For the summer of 2015 when we visited it was costing EUR 30 per person. We arrived promptly as directed when we booked the tickets and got the best seats on the top deck. You are a little exposed up there so take some sun protection. The trip... More

Not impressed by this trip No commentary or even announcement of where we were at each stop No drinks or snorkel equipment available No warning that sea was very rough on one side of the island and everyone at the top of boat would get soaked! Ithaka is such a beautiful island and deserves someone much better than this to... More
