We went for a walk around Caravaca de la Cruz yesterday. I would definitely recommend this beautiful town... it’s a mix of old and new, some stunning architecture, lovely restaurants and bars. Well worth a visit.

This is a lovey old city well worth a visit especially to go to see the Basilica. It is on a hill so be prepared for walking up hill on some steep narrow streets. Nice plaza nearby the tourist office with cafes and interesting statues....More

The old town is very pretty with its winding streets, small shops and churches. The castle on top of the hill is impressive both during the day and at night.

You have to go to central bus station in Murcia, Sierra de la Pila street 5, and take the bus to Caravaca De la Cruz. There are buses straight to Caravaca and others that get into the small villages, please take the first one

Hi Gin940, No, we usually rent an apartment independently through TripAdvisor along with a hire car so we have more flexibility. Caravaca de la Cruz is quite a small place and not very touristic so super easy to visit... More
