Josselin castle, a visit not to be missed ... Imagine a fairytale castle, whose tree majestic toweres dominate the river below. Concealed behind the massive fortress walls you will find the exquisite, flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance facade of a ducal palace. Here the very history of Brittany was forged. It is a place of legend and magic. Still the home of the Rohan family after 1000 years, in the public rooms restored in the 19th century, you will see a unique collection of furniture and paintings.

Total ripoff. 4 rooms made only slightly interesting by my desire to validate the 9.50 euro price for entrance. Do not pay....just admire it from the outside. Nice French guide though. Again..TOTAL RIPOFF.

This massive chateau has too many rooms for any of the tour staff to be able to number but the tour visits only 4 of them. On display are portraits of the current occupant's ancestors and a king or two along with some nice period...More

We paid to enter the chateau and were told if we wanted an English-speaking guide, to show up in the courtyard at 2:30. We explored the manicured grounds and showed up for the tour (the only way to see the chateau). Our guide was full...More

The Chateau de Josselin looks very impressive from the outside, like a fairytale castle, even. Inside it's a different story. The tour was a bit of a disappointment to us; only a few rooms were on show; the things that could be seen there were...More

The castle is certainly worth a view from inside, as well as outside. Some might be disappointed as you can only visit the ground floor rooms (the castle is still inhabited today), but the guided tour made is really interesting to visit, if history is...More

We arrived when the chateau was closed but we did enjoy the exterior and got a lot of lovely photos.

We heard many English speaking locals in this part of France. In our visit to my sister-in-law now living in Corcoret, before traveling back to the Far East, they brought us to this nice small medieval town of Josselin. The Chateau is the main attraction....More

Good morning, I'm sorry but they're not bus or train between Josselin and Pornic. But if you want, you can go to Rennes by bus, then you have a train between Rennes and Nantes, and finally you have a train between Nantes and... More
