    Quite expensive
We did the factory tour and tastings. For the price we were expecting a working factory. All we saw was an empty factory, some churning vats and a quick video. Slightly interesting but quite expensive for what it was. We found out during the tour that the factory runs Monday to Friday, it would have been nice to be told that before we paid (we were there on a Sunday). The tastings were great but it could have been organised a bit better as we walked into the factory, were lined up and asked if anyone was vegetarian or had any dietary requirements, before the tour guide passed on the number of people and dietary requirements on a two way. I feel this could be organised as we pay at the counter? The kids loved the grounds however and there is heaps of products to look at.
Hi 845mrsh, Thank you very much for visiting and sharing your experience. We are always looking for ways to enhance our visitor's experience and will be sure to share your feedback with the team. We are delighted to hear the kids had a wonderful time. We hope you will visit us again!

    Great morning out
Great morning out, loved the boat ride. Didnt know a ride like that existed anymore, it was so cute! So much work and love put into it. The food at the Cafe was great and I came home with a few plants from the nursery :)
Hi bonniem32, Thank you very much for writing us a review. We are delighted to see you had a fantastic day out with us. The Overboard Boat Ride is a pretty special experience isn't it. So many ginger products!
Cool ginger factory that sells virtually everything you could imagine related to ginger. Though we spent a very, very short amount of time there, it looked like a very kid-friendly place where you could learn about ginger. The shop there had ginger soda, ginger tonic, ginger gin, ginger ale, ginger beer, ginger wellness supplements, ginger vodka, so many kinds of ginger chocolate, ginger gummies, and more. They sell both in-house ginger goods and ginger products made from their own ginger but made by other people / artisans, which is cool.
Hi obizerokenobi, Thank you so much for visiting and writing us a review. Our visitors are definitely spoilt for choice with all of the delicious ginger goodies we have on offer. We hope you can visit us again when you have more time. There are many incredible experiences and activities to enjoy like our captivating fully guided tours, our rides, rainforest walks and art installation. We hope to see you soon!

    Tasty lunch spot
We opted for just the factory tour and tasting, the rest of the compound was really designed for much younger children than ours (although it's enjoyed hamming it up). FYI the factory doesn't actually operate on the weekend so your factory tour is really a story of what does happen rather than seeing it first hand (if you go on the weekend like us). We really enjoyed the tasting at the end
Hi AnnaNZPorirua Thank you so much for visiting and writing us a review. We are glad you had a wonderful time! We highly recommend doing the Livee bee Show next time you visit. It is fascinating and great for all ages! We hope to see you soon!

Little bit or Lots of Ginger
We visited The Yandina Ginger Factory a few weeks ago and what a delightful place. We did a tour and had a good look around then a coffee with ginger scones and purchase some ginger delights😊😊 All of this place is well worth a visit!! Also the Ginger Refresher is the best and is a concentrate with water to add. Very best Ginger Drink around far better than any other Ginger Beer or cordial on the market! Well worth visiting 😊😊
Hi chriskJ7789CF, Thank you so much for visiting and writing us a review. We have to agree the Ginger Refresher from Buderim Ginger is delicious! We love adding soda water and a wedge of lime, perfect for the hot days we have been having! We hope you will visit us again very soon!

Overboard... You Can't Catch Me, I'm The Gingerbread Man
We were just passing through, heading to Maroochydore but we had to have a quick stop at The Ginger Factory, for a top-up of their beautiful and the best tasting ginger products – yes, I know… we can order online but I much prefer to view the products in person and entry is FREE (including parking). If you want to do rides or factory tour tastings, you need to purchase your tickets either online or from the front desk – they accept both cash or card. We have been at The Ginger Factory a few years ago, the best experience for families – young or old, it’s fun, colourful and memorable. We took part in the ‘Overboard’ experience (our first visit a few years ago), the ride is smooth and the puppetry show was amazing and very entertaining – our girls absolutely enjoyed the ride, the smiles on their faces, was priceless… highly recommend. Their factory had welcoming renovations and more new activities since our last visit and their café area is still spacious, comfortable and ever so clean and strollers/wheelchair friendly access. There’s lots to choose to eat or drink, staff are very friendly and patient, well maintained and service quick and efficient, considering how packed the place was – definitely a popular tourism spot. This factory is well worth a visit or in my case… visits 😊, you could easily spend a few hours or a whole day there, lots to do and see. Or if you are on a tight budget, just simply stroll, browse around their beautiful surrounding and have something to eat and/or drink. They even have a Kids Play Area and lots of photo opportunities, love their beautiful mural display. Just before we left, we visited the gift stores and bought lots of goodies. If ginger products not for you, they do stock other delicious products and souvenirs (supporting other local companies as well). I bought a couple of jars of plum jam – they are rare to find, and of course my ginger survival pack. If you are planning on going to The Ginger Factory, download the Gruffalo Trail app, so you’re ready to go when you arrive and be part of the journey and follow the trail. No wonder why, The Ginger Factory is a popular place and why they have won many awards - well deserving! Definitely will be back again, just as couples and do the ‘Live Bee Show & Tastings’ and ‘Factory Tour & Tastings’. Highly recommend for young and old and they are opened 7 days a week (closed on Christmas day only), from 9am to 5pm.
Hi thebaldcritic, Wow! Thank you so much for your amazing review. We love hearing feedback like this. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

Nice couple of hours spent here…
Had a great couple of hours here. We were meant to go last year but couldn’t make it and after emailing the day before, they were more than happy to let us use the “older” tickets. Clean, tidy and wasn’t too busy! Boat & Train ride were fun. Kids loved them. Gruffalo trail was excellent and interactive. Had a quick bite to eat and food was decent. Would recommend.
Hi deanwells8, Thank you very much for visiting and writing us a review. We are delighted to hear you had a wonderful day out with us. The Gruffalo Spotter Trail is amazing isn't it! We love that it is nestled within our beautiful rainforest. A great FREE activity! We look forward to seeing you again next time you visit 😊

    Factory tour woth doing.
Ginger factory is more geared towards families with young children. However, the factory tour is really interesting, the guide knowledgeable and tour tasting is really worth doing if you are an older group (including teens). Their garden is lovely (although a good section was closed during our visit due to recent storm damage) and the ginger and macadamia ice cream is definitely worth trying! For the young kids, there are boat and train rides which we didn't do with a 15yo, but seemed very popular.

My wife and I took two teenage grandchildren here for the day and it was a hit all round.
As we were booked on tours, we had an early lunch at the restaurant where we found the menu to be relatively extensive, reasonably priced and not long to wait for our order. Nice food.
We then did the factory tour which was interesting and informative, the only problem being noisy children who made it hard to hear the guide.
We then checked out the shops before taking the entertaining train ride through the extensive grounds. This was followed by a walk through the forest before sampling the ginger ice cream and heading home.
Both children want to return and we would be happy to take them there again.
Worth considering booking rides etc on line as the queue at the ticket counter can be quite long.

This was absolute garbage. Factory tour that showed nothing as the factory was not operating. Saw a video which you can watch similar on the web. The whole presentation was puerile. It was junk. Three adults went at $17.50 each. A Seinfeld experience - a tour about nothing. One of the biggest scams north of Brisbane.

The Ginger Factory is a really fun day out, particularly for those with small kids. The train ride in particular is very informative and really enjoyable. Our nice day out was only marred by the stupidity of the boat ride. It was a busy early January day and we couldn’t understand why it took half an hour to get on the boat ride (our tickets allowed us “as many rides as we like”… fat chance with a half hour wait each time!) We had pre booked wrist bands at the front entrance and couldn’t understand why the boats were all leaving with 2-4 passengers when they seat 10-12. We soon saw why… the whole thing is set up to sell photos to tourists. They obviously realise if you have a boat full of strangers with you, you won’t buy an overpriced photo after. This might be fine on a quieter day, but in peak January holiday season, it’s ridiculous. We should have waited five minutes, but waited 30 instead so they could sell photos. A real shame since the rest of the park was excellent.

We went as a young family with the grandparents and there was something for everyone. We went on the Bee Tour with Blake, which was highly informative for all. We attended the Ginger Factory tour and tasting. They also had kids plates for the children. I liked learning how to use all the ginger condiments. Then we went on the boat ride, which was a highlight as well as the train ride. The children loved running and trying to find the Gruffalo and through the beautiful rainbow umbrella gardens. We finished the day with DIY gingerbread men and ginger scones. The gift store is reasonably priced and has a wide variety.
