Love the pink cocktail, you buy one and get one free. Beautiful island. I advice people to go there.

Bilene has shallow waveless waters and is ideal for water sports holiday. The white beaches and warm waters make it ideal with families with small kids. When i was there though the place was overrun with quad bikes.

Depend where you stay. There are very good places too very bad and all in between. One of towns with the most horrible Portuguese colonialist lodges too. The town is worth a visit. It used to be called San Martino.

Went for a day trip to Bilene. Definitely worth the +-150km drive from Maputo. The calm clear waters are great for children to swim. Took a boat trip from the lagoon to the ocean and was overcome with excitement when we walked up over the beach dune to view the ocean. Kids went crazy looking for shells and had an... More

We visited this place for a get away weekend and we had an amazing time. The beach is particularly good for small children becasue no waves and the water is warm.

My wife and I spent 5 amazing days at the cariocca inn in bilene. The settings and surrounds are rustic and beautiful. The people were friendly and helpful and we had the best of times. Will definitely be traveling back to this awesome place asap.

The only disadvantage is that you can only cross the lake with a motorized unit (boat, jet ski) to reach the beach and... More

Beautiful pristine beaches with awesome waters. Stayed at Praia do Sol chalets. Its worth the 140km drive north east from Maputo. Kite surfing, kayaking, snorkelling amongst the stuff to do.

Bilene is a very nice area to visit. not much activities to do except fishing, water sports like snorkeling and swimming in the lagoon or by the beach. The area is nice because during the day, the lagoon is like your big swimming pool where you can relax. Area is also easy to access and close to Maputo city as... More
