Filthy and cramped - should be closed down
Feb. 2021
Some nice birds and good variety but terrible conditions. The cages are mostly very small and filthy and the overall park is tiny. I left feeling very sorry for the birds and other animals (saw a random goat) and regretting paying the admission fee.

Tickets were 16 EUR (for 2 adults), we gave 20 EUR and told them to keep the change because the woman selling the tickets was holding buckets of dead fish with no gloves on when she took the money - fish change, no thanks!

nice morning out
Mar. 2020
Some of the cages were quite dirty but the birds appeared to be well cared out. There was a good selection of birds and it was an enjoyable morning out.

There is a nice cafe next to the Bird Park and we had a nice lunch afterwards. A reasonable choice on the menu and other visitors appeared to be satisfied

A hidden gem
Aug. 2019
Absolutely amazed at the different birds. Very much looking forward to going again when the extensions are finished. There is even a lovely lady who speaks to the birds - and they know her. She gives them snacks! A nice little cafeteria as well.

in need of tlc
Feb. 2020
Some interesting and lovely birds, but the enclosures are disappointing, and the smell is not pleasant. With some tlc this place could be so much nicer to visit. Our kids felt sorry for the birds living there.

Needs more support
Dec. 2019 • Couples
Some amazing birds but these people seriously need some support.
Enclosures were awful and the place was a bit smelly but the birds looked in great health and were well fed. Even the cats slept with them in the enclosures so a stress free environment and happy birds.

It would be lovely to see more people go to fund this place , at €8 an adult it's not much to ask for . I hope they get the support they need.

Feel sorry for the animals.

Went to this park with my boyfriend today. We had a lunch before entering the park. We had a Ceasar salad and chicken burger. Food was great.

While walking thru the park it’s hard not to notice the bad condition the cages are. Many of them are filthy and overcrowded. When I went into the goats and gave them cuddles my heart hurt by seeing how love seeking they were. I dont know if it’s allowed to walk into them, I just did so.

What really put me on egde was what they do with one of the owels. The owel was not in the cage and my first thought was: So nice, he can move free inside the park. But then I noticed he was tied up?! You dont tie up an animal like that, even if it’s «just» for some hours.

Visit to bird park
Sep. 2019
I went to the bird park during a visit to St Pauls bay. A bus goes to with 15 minutes of the site. The cost of admission is 8 euros. There are many different birds to see but the site is quite small. There is a cafe on site. well worth a visit, recommended.

Sad birds in filthy and small cages
Oct. 2019 • Couples
Some of the birds live in large areas, especially the flamingos in the open air area. But many birds are kept alone in small filthy cages where they can't fly and with only a single branch to sit on. One owl was tied to the ground whith a rope around its leg. I do NOT recommend.

A wonderful place. I recommend that everyone that visits Malta, visits this park as well. You have the oportunity to learn a lot about many bird species, and it's a must for bird lovers.

Can’t believe I never knew of this place. A must see! A great place to visit for a lovely family day out or just some quiet time admiring their beauty.
