Nothing beats swimming outdoors so why not visit Beccles Lido? The 30metre x 15metre outdoor pool, separate toddler pool and paddling pool are all heated to 27°C. There is a slide, springboard and giant-inflatable. Beccles Lido is on Puddingmoor, next to the River Waveney, with lots of grassy areas, sunloungers, tables and chairs to relax on. The cafe, with covered eating area, serves hot and cold snacks, delicious fairtrade coffee, tea and Italian hot chocolate, cold drinks and ices. Beccles Lido is the perfect place for a swim or a family day out. We also offer Canoe Hire (advance bookings only) from the Lido so you can take a paddle along the beautiful River Waveney. Or take a more relaxing river trip on Big Dog Ferry to the historic Locks Inn, Geldeston.

OK so we went in august as a summer holiday activity. I've been before midweek when children are at school and there is no one to be seen in there. School holidays very different story. Had to park at high school as there was no...More

What a wonderful outdoor pool in a gorgeous location by the Norfolk Broads. Well run, open most of the day and catering for everyone . Indeed there is catering for food too which is incredibly popular. I adore my Spring/Summer swims there, even in the rain!

We spent a very nice morning at the Beccles Lido, the people were very welcoming, the pool and changing rooms were lovely and clean and the bacon rolls after the swim were delicious. Well done to all the volunteers who run the Lido

We brought our nephews to the lido..they like the diving board' slide and inflatables and seemed to have no problem making friends with the others. It was very hot and busy with loads of kids when we visited so I will stick to another time...More

Absolutely love the Lido. We come a lot in the summer - the pool is heated and while it's not roasting it's a totally fine temperature, certainly not cold. My kids love the diving board, very fast slide, and inflatable when it's available. Also good...More

The place is run as a charity, mostly by volunteers. The pools are open air, the larger pool has a diving board and small slide, the smaller pool is suitable for toddlers. There is seating available and basic food is served from their kitchen. It...More

The pool isn't large, the children had fun on the slide but on busy days, the inflatable attraction that is advertised is not put in the water so they can accommodate maximum numbers and they operate a coloured wristband system on a 20 minute basis...More

Pool ok. Plenty of lifeguards. No inflatable due to wind ( which there was none today) teenage boys bored after initial swim. Seating area quite tired looking. Couldn't stay longer than an hour. Wouldn't recommend for older children.

Yes Nigel, the main pool, toddler pool and paddle pool are all heated to 27/28C - this sounds lower than some indoor pools but in fact generally feels warmer (something to do with being outdoors) and rarely any complaints... More
