Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the Bridge is long. A great spot to see a wonderful view of the Sea side. I suppose the best time to visit is summer or so long as its not raining.

When in Pagudpud, find time to experience travelling across the Patapat Viaduct. It starts at Pagudpud and after a kilometer or so ends at the tip of Cagayan province, where you can find Paraiso ni Anton, a roadside shrine with falls - good for photos.

Stop by the roadside, if you must and take pictures but be careful while doing so. While most visitors stop, park and alight to take IG-worthy selfies, photos of their cars/bikes etc on the viaduct, remember to stay safe as it's STILL A FUNCTIONING HIGHWAY.

Nothing impressive, they say. But, in order to appreciate it better, you should know more about the structure itself. I'm not saying that I know a lot about it. I remembered seeing the miniature model of this bridge from a museum we went to (I honestly forgot which one). The structure is supported by the pillars and not the mountain/hills beside it. I find it amazing not only because of its beautiful curves. It's also a good alternative for providing roads without having to quarry down the mountains. Although I think this project was not continued so instead of neglecting it, they decided to make it a tourist spot.

About 10 minutes drive from hannah's "luxury resort"-you wish!. The structure is a man made marvel due to its length and location which is on the side of a mountain. Took a few good pictures there though utmost care should be taken due to speeding cars that pass the bridge.

Patapat viaduct is a must place to stop for a awhile to have your picture taken. The place where you can see the viaduct from end to end and a place where you can breath clean air and to somewhat relax a bit from a long driving from either cagayan or ilocos sur.

Most people going to Pagudpud might not go the extra mile and cross the Patapat via duct, but that would be a mistake, besides the panoramic, spectacular view, there is a lot of history in it, it was created by the Japanese in WWII for those landing in Aparri Cagayan, to cross to Ilocos. It was only a one way road and for those of us old enough to remember how it was to travel in the 80s it was very dangerous, a lot of buses slipped down the cliff. The Patapat via duct is a reminder of Marcos' legacy and achievements, mostly overlooked by stupid historians who prefer to remember First lady Imeldas shoes....but for most of from the North, there is a reason they call us SOLID NORTH!!!

The viaduct connects northernmost part of both Ilocos Norte and Cagayan. It is facing Batanes group of islands. Nothing to do here just a sight to behold.

The Patapat bridge is at the very top of the Luzon island. What you will see in this bridge is the Sea towards north. This place is beautiful and I will recommend you to visit it.
