Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An amazing tour on the original set of the renowned Italian TV series L'ispettore Montalbano, starting Luca Zingaretti and many other talented actors. The palace itself is stunning. A big thank you to the guide Leonardo for his impressive knowledge!

Get into the film set with a tour of the Commisssariato di Vigata, a fictional police station housed in the Scicli local council home to the RAI television series. You may meet Catarella, 'persona personalmente'! Nearby attractions are also available.

As an Inspector Montalbano fan, the visit to "Vigata" police station and his office film set was a treat, helpful staff.

I saw the Montalbano TV set which is a permanent fixture and used by TV crew from March to July. Excellent. The ceilings are fabulous!
The sindaco's (Mayor) office is also wonderful to behold and with much history

Ok so maybe Salvo wasn’t really there but what an experience anyway. For 6 euros for 2 of us we got to see the office setting from Inspector Montalbano
I would imagine that 90% of the people that brave the narrow snaking roads down to Scicli do so because they are fans of the Inspector Montalbano show and what to see the location of the Vigata police station. It was certainly our reason for coming and even though it was a pretty Baroque town with plenty of architecture on display we headed straight for the famous steps outside which Salvo screeches to a halt in his battered Fiat Tipo
We were pleased to learn that we could take a tour inside the building and see the rooms that were used for filming
Our guide Dario made a special effort to explain the setting to us in English
Great value for only 6 euros if you are a fan of the show

We are fans of the series and it was ridiculously exciting to see "his office". Even better, the TV production company had paid for local disabled people to be trained as guides.
And we found the lovely Ummara restaurant for lunch so Scicli was a highlight of the tour.

We visited Scicli with the intention to see the filming location of Montalbano series. We were very surprised that we could visit his offices and see the scenery as it is on TV. We were lucky to enjoy the tour on our own with two excellent tour guides Vincenzo and Enrico, that were both knowledgable and enthusiastic. This turned out to be our most fun tour on Siciliy👍😄!

Ok, ok, it's touristy, but it was cool to see the place. If you're into it there are tours of the locations from the show. There' even a self-guided tour.

Beautiful town - loved the Montalbano set in the town hall. The one town in the Montalbano trail which is flat. Lots to see, plenty places to eat and drink

Noi siamo andati di sabato pomeriggio, non ho presente le giornate di apertura, ma credo che d'estate non ci siano problemi. La tariffa è di 8 euro.
